11 Celebs Reveal Who They Want to Play Them In Biopics

"It's almost uncanny how similar we all look."

One of Hollywood's greatest honors is to have a movie about your life made. There are many of these movies being made. Some huge stars have had their stories told on big screen, including Aretha Franklin's "Rocketman", Elvis' "Respect", and Elton John's" "Rocketman".

One of the most important aspects of a celebrity biopic is the star role. This means who will play the role of the subject. These celebrities are often given the opportunity to choose who they will portray onscreen when casting the film. While not every celeb is guaranteed to star in a movie about his or her life, it was fun for many to brainstorm who would be the best choice.

These celebrities have some words to say about future biopics.

1. Halsey

Although Halsey hasn't yet made a biopic of their lives, they have the role in mind. Millie Bobby Brown, according to them, would be a great choice for the role. They often get told that they look similar. Halsey even wore Millie's Eleven costume at one time!

"Millie would have been so wonderful. It's amazing how similar we all look. It's almost like we look like sisters," Halsey stated on "The Tonight Show."

2. Drew Barrymore

Drew Barrymore revealed recently on TikTok, that she thinks Joey King would make a great actress to portray her in a movie about the rest of her life. Although she didn't elaborate on why she chose Joey, she did mention that she found Joey to be the most surprising celeb in her quick-fire video.

3. Jennifer Hudson

Jennifer Hudson played Aretha Franklin's role in her biopic, but Jennifer said that she would prefer Skye Dakota Turner to star in a movie about her life.

"The only person I can remember is little Skye, who plays young Aretha. She would be perfect age by the time my movie ever comes out. Access Hollywood spoke out to Jennifer.

4. Hillary Clinton

Hillary Clinton said that Meryl Streep, her long-time friend, would be her choice for the lead role in a biopic on her life. Meryl was praised by the politician, who said that she could "play anyone, anytime, anywhere." Meryl was thankful for Hillary's suggestion but a little uncertain about accepting the role.

"I think she said it very sweetly, but then she may not be satisfied with the outcome!" Extra was jokingly told by Meryl.

5. Niall Horan

In 2013, Niall Horan was asked to play Tom Felton in an One Direction origin film. He admitted that Tom was too old to play the role of a teenager, but he was willing to accept the challenge.

6. Will Smith

Will Smith has played many real-life characters onscreen, but he isn't sure who he would choose to play the role. Will states that he would choose Denzel Washington, despite the age difference.

Will shared that Denzel is older than me so Denzel wouldn’t be able play the younger me but that’s what I would like."

7. Dolly Parton

Dolly Parton recently discussed making a musical biography about her life. She might have already found a lead actress. In 2014, she revealed that she had spoken with Reese Witherspoon in regards to playing the role. Dolly admits that she was initially unsure about the role, but Reese's confidence helped her to accept it.

"Reese Witherspoon, dear friend, was talking to me about my life. I said, "Well people always say [to me] that you should get Reese Witherspoon [to portray you]". And every time I say, "Her boobs aren't big enough!" She's just too small to carry this around. She wouldn't let me do that to her. Reese replied, "Well, there's padding. I've got enough!" I replied, "Well, we're talking about it," Dolly stated on "Lorraine."

9. Anne Heche

Anne Heche revealed before Anne Heche's tragic passing that she would like Kristen Bell or Miley Cyrus to play her role on screen. Anne stated that she believed "those two girls" could "pull off my humor" and also do justice to the "journey that I've been on."

"Miley Cirus or Kristen Bell!" It's something I've thought about. The two of them share a personality ability that allows them to face the world in the way I want.

10. Miles Teller

Miles Teller said that he met Oscar Isaac and believes the actor would make a great biopic. He joked that Oscar Isaac could be a good actor, but he could always go to Christopher Walken if Oscar wasn't interested.

"I met Oscar Isaac just now and we seem to have a lot in common so I would say him. Or Christopher Walken, just to see me with his panache. It would be great," Miles said to Vanity Fair.

11. Gladys Knight

Gladys Knight spent a lot of time thinking about the role and always returns to Kelly Rowland. Gladys stated that Kelly would be a great choice for the role on several occasions.

Kelly Rowland is a good friend of mine. Although we don't know Kelly Rowland as an actress, there is something about her and her spirit which resonates with me. That's something I believe will be very important for anyone considering that role. It's more than just saying what I said, it's about feeling those feelings during those times," she explained to CBS Mornings.
