If you didn't see it, 2022 was a great year for Jeopardy! fan. The world was weighing in on Ken Jennings' hosting split and Mayim Bialik's hosting split. However, the contestants gave their best. Let's look back at some of Jeopardy's most memorable runs! Runs from the past year.

Amy Schneider Beat Matt Amodio's Impressive Streak

Thanks to Amy Schneider, Super Champion, we got off to a great start. Ohio-based writer Amy Schneider became the first woman to earn more than a million dollars on the show. Jeopardy! Her 40-game winning streak is history.

Schneider's historic run ended on January 26th. However, she still holds the record for the show's second-longest winning streak. She earned $1,382,800 in her five-week stint on the show, which makes her the fourth highest earner.

Amazingly, she was able to beat Matt Amodio's 38-win streak, which he set just a few months earlier. Yet, during her two extra games, she didn't quite surpass Amodio's $1,518,601 winnings. Amodio as well as Schneider were back at Jeopardy! This fall, the Tournament of Champions was held on the Jeopardy!

Unfortunately, Amodio didn't make the semifinals. A Yale University alum, Amodio, lost to Sam Buttrey, the Professors' Tournament winner. Schneider was able to win. Schneider, however, won the ultimate victory and the $250,000 grand prize. This solidified her position in Jeopardy! Record books.

Mattea Roach Won 24 Games

Fans thought Jeopardy! It couldn't get more exciting than that! Mattea Roach won the podium. In April of 1995, the Canadian tutor was 23 years old and began a streak of 23 consecutive wins. Roach made history by achieving the fifth-most wins on the show. Jeopardy! was created in just seven months. Three of the top five winners took to the stage.

Although no one else made it that high in the ranks in 2022 there were some impressive Super Champions. Ryan Long, a rideshare driver based in Philadelphia, impressed fans with 16 consecutive wins and his impressive collection of sweater vests. Roach and Long both returned to the Tournament of Champions, but neither could claim victory in their respective games.

But 2022 had more to offer. Cris Pannullo was the first to take the stage in October. He impressed with his lightning fast gameplay and impeccable accuracy, even though he was stumped by Final Jeopardy! This year's questions were very interesting. It is clear Jeopardy was a huge success in 2022. We hope that 2023 brings as much excitement to America’s favorite game show.
