"She is my cousin, but I have only ever met her one time in my life." Sam once said, "My family has told me that she is my cousin for years... I never trusted them so I tweet her and she replied saying that we are relatives."

4. Al Roker & Lenny Kravitz

Al Roker is distantly related to Lenny Kravitz, as the two share the same great-great grandparent. Al Roker and Lenny Kravitz's great-great grandfathers were also cousins. Since the cousins revealed their relationship, they have reunited on air several times on "Today".

5. Melissa McCarthy & Jenny McCarthy

7. Brandy, Ray J and Snoop Dogg

Snoop and Brandy's brother Ray J share first cousins. Snoop Dogg says that the famous family hasn't talked much about their relationship over the years because they didn't consider it a big deal.

"Brandy is my first cousin." Snoop said MTV, "We never told the world about my family because we didn't want to trip off it. But that's who I am."

8. Gerard Way and Joe Rogan

Gerard Way, the frontman of My Chemical Romance and Joe Rogan, the controversial podcast host, are distant cousins. Joe admitted that they never met in an episode of Joe's podcast.

Joe replied, "Yes, we are related." "I don’t know him but we are cousins."

9. Brooke Shields & Glenn Close

Brooke Shields is said to be a second cousin once removed of Glenn Close. According to their shared ancestry Charles Arthur Moore Jr., Glenn's father, Charles Arthur Moore, is the great-grandmother of Brooke Shields.

Lance Bass discovered that Britney Spears, his longtime best friend, is his sixth-cousin once removed during an appearance on Ancestry’s “2 Lies & A Leaf”. Lance Bass said that he always thought Britney and he "looked" like family.

"I wanted to be related with the Queen." Now I am related to the Queen of Pop! He added and said, "She's like family to me, so the fact that she is blood related is amazing."

11. Kate Middleton, Dakota Fanning and Elle

According to experts at Ancestry.com Dakota Fanning and Elle are related to Kate Middleton. All three are descendants of King Edward, which makes Dakota and Elle 21st Cousins to Kate.

Elle said to E! News: "It is so strange...it is crazy." News. "I have always wanted to use Ancestry.com because I thought it would be cool. Someone did it for me. I think that's great.

12. Yara Shahidi & Nas

Yara is a second cousin of Nas, and was the flower girl in his 2005 wedding. Nas and Yara have remained friends over the years. He even appeared on Yara’s show "Yara Shahidi’s Day Off" to praise the actress.
