The Bachelorette alum Gabby windey said on The View, "I believe it was always a quiet whisper that grew louder."

Since The Bachelor first premiered more than two decades ago viewers have grown to expect the exact same format season after season. The show is pretty consistent, whether it's about a man searching for his wife among a group 30 women competing for his attention or a female looking for her husband in a group men.

Not all contestants from Bachelor Nation are straight. Several former Bachelor Nation contestants have revealed that they are members of the LGBTQ+ Community since filming ended. They have also shared some heartwarming updates on their love lives.

1. Gabby Windey

Gabby Windey appeared in Clayton Echard's season The Bachelor, before becoming The Bachelorette herself. Gabby Windey was engaged to Erich Schwer at the end of the series, but they broke up. Gabby didn't reveal that she was part of the LGBTQ+ and dating a female until August 2023.

"I don't think I was paying attention to the whisper that kept getting louder in my head. "I think there is a shame that surrounds this, so I had to navigate my way through it," she said in the View. "I do not want to live my life without living it fully. I don't think that is something I want to do to myself. "I don't want it to happen to my girlfriend."

2. Becca Tilley

Becca Tilley was on Chris Soules' and Ben Higgins’ seasons of The Bachelor, but she never won the final rose. Becca found love in 2018 when she met Hayley Kiyoko, a musician. The couple kept their relationship secret for many years while Becca navigated through her LGBTQ+ journey.

Becca confirmed in 2022 that she was dating Hayley by appearing in the music video "for the Girls". While it was not a surprise for many, Becca still worried about the reaction of her fans.

She told the Cut, "I realized that I need to give people the chance to prove me incorrect." "I never gave people the chance to be open-minded as I had thought. They were only rooting for my happiness. "They just wanted me to be happy."

3. Colton Underwood

Colton Underwood is a major part of Bachelor Nation. He was a part of Becca Kufrin’s season of The Bachelorette. Then he appeared on Bachelor in Paradise. And finally, he became The Bachelor. He walked off the show with Cassie Randolph, but their relationship was turbulent over the following years. Cassie filed a restraining against Colton after their romance ended.

Colton said he struggled to come to terms with his homosexuality. He told Variety that he felt "such a darkness" after the breakup of his relationship because he had to face his truth.

"I was miserable, living in a shell and trying to be what the world wanted me to be. Colton said that he had to finally look himself in the mirror to tell him, "You have to fix this."

Colton came out as gay in 2021. He said he had never been happier or healthier. He met Jordan C. Brown not long after and they are now married.

4. Demi Burnett

Demi Burnett starred in Colton Underwood’s season of The Bachelorand went on to star in Bachelor In Paradise. Demi revealed that she was bisexual during the season of Bachelor in Paradise. She had previously been dating a female before appearing on the show. Demi acknowledged that she was afraid of being judged and of disappointing others in her life. However, she decided to go ahead with it.

The two continued to date after Kristian Haggerty joined the cast.

"At first, I was afraid. I felt a bit uncomfortable. "At first I was scared, I was a little uncomfortable. When she got to Paradise, I was all over her," she said in The Bachelor Happy Hour. She added, "But, it gets a bit uncomfortable because it's... something no one has ever seen before... You kind of question everything, and it made me extremely, very anxious." But I'm glad that I can be someone that people can relate to who are struggling with the fear of coming out."

5. Elizabeth Corrigan

Elizabeth Corrigan, a contestant in Clayton Echard's season The Bachelor decided to come out after the show ended. Elizabeth Corrigan opened up in honor of Pride Month. She explained that there was no perfect time for her to come out, but she felt it necessary to say.

"It is important for me to tell you today that I am gay. Bisexual I am and will always be. You probably already know that I am bisexual. Each time I share this information with someone new, I feel fear. Fear that the information will lead to a business deal ending, fear of making someone uncomfortable, and fear of being ostracized by my family," she posted on Instagram.

She said, "What is more important to me than anything else at the end the day? To be myself." Authentic. Genuine. Raw. Maybe one person will feel less lonely... You're the one. You're in my hands. I'm here-I'll answer. You are not alone. Hope that one day, the fear will become what it should be... PRIDE. Love is all there is. Only love. All love. "Moments matter."

6. Jasmine Goode

Jasmine Goode appeared in Nick Viall's season The Bachelor and later on Bachelor In Paradise. She has been dating Melissa since early 2021, although she has not made an official announcement.

"Happy Birthday to the woman who won my heart." Melissa posted in 2023: "You make life fun, and you are always the best view no matter where we travel."

7. Alexa Caves

Alexa Caves will appear in Peter Weber’s season of The Bachelor, which is set to air early 2020. Alexa Caves says that after being eliminated in the third week of The Bachelor, she was asked many questions about her sexuality. She opened up on Instagram and told her followers that she is sexually fluid.

The amount of people who ask me about sexuality on my DMs is insane. Lol, I've gotten it since the very first episode," she replied. "I'm fluid. I have been with both men and women. I am open-minded. This isn't that big a deal to me. "I just do my thing."

8. Josh Seiter

Josh Seiter was first seen on Kaitlyn's season of The Bachelorette, but was sent away in the first episode. Josh Seiter has since revealed that he is pansexual.

"I dislike labels and being categorized into small boxes or categories. I would describe myself as pansexual. "I love everyone equally, regardless of gender," said he to TV show Ace. He also revealed that he had been dating a male at the time. "I have had many disastrous relationships with women in the past and I'm excited to be finally in a healthy relation."
