"My baby is going to college .... I cried while driving !!!!"

Summer vacation is over and students will soon be heading back to school. For some parents, this means their first time dropping off their children at college.

As parents say goodbye to their kids for the fall, it can be a very emotional moment. It's a start to a new chapter in the lives of these college students, but it can be a tough time for parents who suddenly find themselves empty nesters. These famous parents understand what it's like.

These stars had to say goodbye this semester to their children.

Alex Rodriguez

Alex Rodriguez's 18-year old daughter Natasha will begin her first year at the University of Michigan, studying musical theatre. Cynthia Scurtis, Natasha’s mother, was also present for the occasion. Alex posted photos on Instagram of him helping Natasha move into her new dorm. He also posed with his family for photos at the campus.

"Left My Heart in Michigan Dropping @thenatasharodriguez off at college was the hardest but most proud moment of being a dad. "I can't wait to see her tackle this new chapter," Alex wrote.

2. Kevin Hart

Kevin Hart helped Heaven, his 18-year old daughter at Loyola Marymount University Los Angeles move into her dorm. Kevin Hart brought his entire family to the momentous occasion and the father and daughter duo posed in a dorm photo with her siblings Hendrix, and Kenzo.

"I'm Not Crying Your Crying .... I'm so proud of my daughter ....I don't know how to call you a little girl anymore, because you are now the most beautiful young woman. !!!!! God knows that I love and respect you to the fullest. The world is yours !!!!! My baby is going to college .... I cried while driving !!!!" Kevin posted on Instagram.

3. Michael Strahan

Michael Strahan became an official "Duke dad" this August when he dropped off his daughter Sophia at the prestigious University. He shared pictures of his daughter Sophia on campus, and he also posted photos from Target where he bought dorm essentials.

"Dropped the youngest member of the tribe, @sophialstrahan off at college!" I can't believe the time has passed so quickly and I am so proud of her. "I know she will crush the college life!! Michael wrote.

Michael revealed that while Sophia has settled into school, he will be dropping her twin Isabella off at her college in the near future.

4. Teresa Giudice

Teresa Giudice helped her daughter Gabriella to move into the University of Michigan. The Real Housewife took photos with the team of movers who were bringing Gabriella’s belongings to school. She also shared a photo from dinner, before they left.

"I am so proud of you as you begin this exciting journey in Michigan. You have earned this moment through your hard work and dedication. I am confident that you will continue impressing and thriving," Teresa wrote on Instagram.

She went on to say, "Watching you become the amazing woman that you are, fills me with an indescribable amount of joy." Your resilience and determination motivate me every day. "Embrace every opportunity that comes your direction and cherish the ones that are yet to come."

5. Lara Spencer

Good Morning America presenter Lara Spencer dropped off her daughter Katharine at Vanderbilt University, while on a road trip with the family to Nashville. Lara Spencer shared pictures of the road trip and a photo in front a college.

"Today marks the beginning of a brand new chapter in your personal life." Write your story, baby," Lara wrote.

6. George Stephanopoulos & Ali Wentworth

George Stephanopoulos, Lara's GMA host and his wife Ali Wentworth dropped off their daughter Harper at Vanderbilt University in this month. Ali became emotional after sharing funny photos of her trying to assemble the dorm furniture.

"We dropped off our baby at college. "She's ready to take off!" Everyone says! But... I don’t think I’m ready! I can't stop cooking pasta with vodka sauce or picking up damp towels. Joni Mitchell wrote, "The bed is too big and the fryingpan too wide". I'm confident that our daughter will flourish. It's tough on parents. Please send me some baked goods if you wish. Ali posted on Instagram: "I'll be hiding under my covers."

7. Cole Hauser

Cole Hauser, star of Yellowstone and his wife Cynthia dropped off their son Ryland, 18, at Texas Christian University. Cynthia shared photos of the day they helped Ryland set up his dorm. Ryland is seen in a photo waving goodbye to parents.

"My baby boy has just begun his life." Ryland, your dad and I are very proud of you! You'll be a great influence on so many people! We appreciate you being willing to learn from us and sharing your heart. Thank you also for making Steely and Colt so special. Cynthia wrote: "We'll miss you so much, honey."

8. Nicole Ari Parker

Nicole Ari Parker helped her daughter Sophie, 18, get settled at Howard University. In a video posted on Nicole's Instagram account, Sophie is seen posing with her brother in her dorm and hugging her before they part ways.

Nicole wrote: "Today marks your first official day at college @howard1867." "I am so proud of your accomplishments. We miss you so much, but we know that you can do it! Arrive on time to class. "Call me when you get back."
