Unfortunately, the fourth night she had to report. She waited in the waiting room all morning and was called into work after lunch. After lunch, she thought she'd have to serve. But things changed again by the end of that day.

The case was settled as we walked to the courtroom. Which I had no idea was a thing. #WorkItOut #juryduty," Anna tweeted.

5. Oprah Winfrey

Oprah Winfrey had to serve jury service in Chicago in 2004 for a murder case. Oprah said at the time that she did not think an attorney should select her, because she had "an open mind" but was "too opinionated". Oprah explained that she was "not apprehensive about putting someone in jail '... It was just sad in the end.

6. Sarah Jessica Parker

"I was outraged at the character assassination!" She told Marie Claire. "I've served so many juries, they asked me to speak at Jury appreciation day! I know I should have become more calloused, but I'm still very sensitive to not living up anyone's worst impression of an actor with a high profile.

7. Uma Thurman

Uma Thurman claims she was very close to being selected for a New York City jury in a case involving a misdemeanor. She didn't specify why she was not selected but admitted that she would have loved to do her civic duty.

9. Donald Trump

Donald Trump, when he was running for President, completed his jury service requirement after five summons. He was fined $250 for not showing up, but he did show up.

Numerous media outlets and supporters waited outside the courthouse when he arrived the day of his service. He was never called to serve.
