1. Justin Bieber

Although Justin Bieber and his mom Pattie have a wonderful relationship, they didn't talk for nearly two years at one time. In 2015, Justin admitted that his relationship with Pattie was "pretty nonexistent." Justin stated that he was trying to reunite with Pattie following their split.

"I was ashamed of being distant. I didn't want my mom to be disappointed in myself, and she knew it. "We spent some time not speaking, so it takes time for that trust to be rebuilt," Justin explained to Billboard.

2. Mariah Carey

Mariah Carey wrote in 2020 her autobiography, "The Meaning Of Mariah Carey," about her difficult relationship with Pat. She said that her mother's "complicated journey" had caused her "so many pains and confusion." She had always longed for a loving relationship with her mother. However, she said that her mother was not able to give it to her. Mariah acknowledged that it was painful and difficult to have certain people removed from her life.

"I had no choice but to not allow myself to be hurt by them. It has been very helpful. It is safer for me to not have contact with my siblings. Pat's situation is slightly more complicated. I have made sure that there is enough space in my life and heart to accommodate her, but only with certain boundaries. Mariah said that it was not easy to set boundaries with the woman who gave me birth. It is still a work-in-progress.

3. Ariel Winter

After a long court battle, Ariel Winter has lost her relationship with her mother. Shanelle, her older sister, was granted guardianship when Ariel was only 14. After a two-year court battle, her mother attempted to regain custody. Shanelle was granted permanent guardianship. Ariel was finally emancipated at the age of 17.

4. Jennifer Aniston

Jennifer Aniston had been estranged for many years from Nancy Dow, her mother. During their difficult relationship, her mother wrote a memoir titled "Mother and Daughter to Friends: A Memoir". Although the couple were able to come to an agreement before Nancy's death, Jennifer is still haunted by the negative aspects of their relationship.

She was very critical. She was extremely critical of me. She was beautiful and stunning because she was a model. I wasn't. I have never been. That's okay. She was also unforgiving. She could hold grudges that I found very petty. She was a fiery woman. That is unacceptable. I'll talk to you if I get upset. She told The Hollywood Reporter that she will not scream or get hysterical.

5. Adele

Following the divorce of her parents, Adele cut contact with Mark Evans, her father, when she was preteen. She even said that she didn’t love her father in a Grammys acceptance speech, calling Jonathan her father-figure. Although Adele and her father were separated for many years, she claims that she made peace with him before his death from cancer.

"I know that he loved me and we had our peace before his death. This was my physical reaction to his passing. Adele said that the fear had left her body."

6. Christina Aguilera

Christina Aguilera was reportedly raised with her grandparents, and never spoke to her father for nearly a decade. Christina allowed her father back into her life in 2009 for a brief time, but soon realized that it wasn't the right decision. She said that she was willing to make amends when she last spoke about her father. But she hasn't spoken of him since.

"I allowed him to come back briefly, but I quickly realized that he was not necessary in my daily life. I have talked about the difficult times I had and I am sure he has heard. It's not something he can be excited about. Maybe one day we'll have lunch...Maybe it is time," Christina said to Latina.

7. Ryan Lochte

Ryan Lochte, an Olympic swimmer, broke up with his mother when he was an adult. He revealed that she had made hurtful remarks about his family and forced him to end their relationship. He says he forgives her but she won't apologize so he hasn’t spoken to her for years.

"Later in life, when she told me that she was going be a grandma," she said some very hurtful words that ended our relationship. Ryan spoke with Graham Bensinger during an interview.

8. Kate Hudson

Kate Hudson was close to her mother Goldie Hawn, but that relationship is not the same with her father Bill Hudson. She was raised by Goldie Russell and Kurt Russell, and he was not present in her childhood. Although Kate claims she has worked hard to forgive her father all her life, he said that he had disowned her and her brother Oliver.

"I tell them now, I set you free. I was the father of five children through my marriage and now I consider myself to be a father to three. I don't recognize Oliver or Kate as my children. DailyMail once reported that Oliver and Kate are dead to me now.

9. Anthony Hopkins

Anthony Hopkins has been separated from his daughter Abigail since over 20 years. He says that is fine with him. He said he doesn't want to reconcile the relationship between them.

"You know, I tried my best, but I know that I can't please everybody. You can do what you like. I wish her all the best, but I'm not going to speak about my daughter. He told The Telegraph that those things were over.
