Sandler weighs in on Rock's Jada Pinkett Smith "entanglements" joke.

Adam Sandler is a constant collaborator with Chris Rock and has his support unwavering.

Sandler accepted the Mark Twain prize for American humor in Washington D.C. on Sunday. His long-time collaborators and friends Drew Barrymore, Rock, and many others were there to support him.

Sandler spoke with People about Rock's Netflix Special, "Selective Outrage", during the festivities.

The veteran comedian said, "It was just as thrilling to watch as the Super Bowl," and that it had been a great weekend of thinking about it.

Sandler said, "I thought that he was unbelievably relaxed and funny, thoughtful, and funny." Sandler said, "He crushed it and was real to his self."

Rock's special dealt with Will Smith's incident on stage at 2022 Oscars. Smith slapped Rock after Rock joked about Jada Pinkett Smith.

Rock was not shy in his jokes about Smith's family, including a hit about Jada and August Alsina's "entanglement".

"And for those that don't already know, and everyone knows, Will Smith’s wife was f---ing her friend, OK?" Rock laughed.

Sandler said that he did not think Rock was going too far with the jokes.

Sandler said, "Never thought that in your life."

Sandler said, "It was one the best experiences," and that the special was "I thought it to be amazing."

Dana Carvey and Rob Schneider were also present to praise Rock.

"He's outrageous. He's incredible. Schneider said that Schneider is an inspiration.

Carvey stated, "That was pure Chris Rock brilliance unadulterated, the whole thing."
