This music icon has already won a number of Grammys, Emmys and an Oscar. She's only one Tony away, and she could join a select group that includes John Legend, Jennifer Hudson, and Whoopi Goldberg.

This is a rare feat and one of the most admired in entertainment. It takes hard work, and Adele might not be able to do it.

Adele is just one award away of joining the illustrious group known as EGOT recipients (for having won an Emmy Emmy, Grammy and Oscar), but she's not sure if she'll ever reach that point.

The "Easy on Me” singer already holds a stack of Grammys, Emmys and Oscars. She is now poised to join the 17 other entertainers who have achieved the quadruple crown.

She knows exactly what kind of project might lure her in. Adele spoke out about the role and the reasons she might not take it during a Happy Hour with Adele fan event to celebrate the release of her music video "I Drink Wine".

Although she admitted she wasn't a "big Broadway fan", she did see "Gypsy" and was drawn to the role as Rose, her mother. According to Broadway World, Adele stated that she had a song in which she said she wanted to do "all of this" and that she is jealous of Rose's daughter.

Adele chuckled, saying, "At one part, she was just ---- it which I could nail," and adding, "But never say ever." According to Adele, the biggest problem is the brutal Broadway schedule.

Bette Midler, her close friend and actress who played the role Adele loves in "Gypsy", thinks it would be too much.

Bette was right. Adele admitted that she agreed with Bette. I'm so notoriously lazy ... I wouldn't be able do matinees or all that. I don't have enough stamina to do that."

She stated that EGO sounded better to her than EGOT, so it might be for the best. There is another side to the story. She admitted to thinking she could transplant her "Weekends With Adele" Vegas show on Broadway.

"I don’t think I’ve seen enough Broadway [as a grown-up] to be able to decide if it is something I want to do. I was curious if I could just move the show from Vegas and make it Broadway, and win the Tony. She pondered. She mused, "If I move to New York and get bored, then I'll be there in a hot minute."
