Lauren Ludwig and Alexander Ludwig deserve our congratulations!

The actor, 30, and his wife, 27, announced on Friday that they were expecting a baby. The new addition will arrive in May. After three previous miscarriages, the couple is thrilled to announce their exciting news.

Lauren and Alexander shared a sweet picture of themselves in front of a mirror. The photo shows "The Hunger Games" actor Alexander holding his growing baby bump. Yam, the pup of the couple, was also seen in this shot.

Alexander captioned the post, "It's been an extended road and we wanted to wait till things looked promising this time around." Thank you for your support. We could not be more grateful. In case you were wondering, yam is thrilled.

Lauren also wrote in her post: "Baby Ludwig coming May 20,23"

She added, "As many of you know, it's been an extremely long road for @alexanderludwig as well as myself." "We had 3 losses prior to this one, but each of them taught us something about ourselves."

Lauren concluded her post with a message to those who have been through similar difficulties. She wrote, "To all those who have experienced miscarriages in the past, there is hope on the other side." You are not the only one.

Alexander received a number of congratulations from celebrity friends and fans alike.

Alexander's "Vikings” co-stars Katheryn Winnick, Alex Hogh Andersen also commented. "So happy for both of you!" Winnick wrote "Yeeeees!" while Andersen replied, "Yeeees!" We are so happy for you, my beautiful people. All the best.

Alexander and Lauren got married in late 2020 on Wanship Mountaintop, Utah. This was just months after their engagement announcement.

Lauren revealed that she suffered her third miscarriage in May.

The entrepreneur posted the sad news on Instagram, raising awareness about miscarriages and revealing some of his personal thoughts.

She wrote that she had debated whether to post about it but ultimately decided to share the truth. "Last week, @alexanderludwig had her 3rd miscarriage.

She continued, "I decided to share because it's not something to be ashamed of." "I want others to see how common miscarriages can be and not feel ashamed about them. This has helped me to realize that I am not the only one going through it. This is a common problem, yet it's not often discussed. These things would be less lonely and more common if we all talked about them. Information is power, and I want more of it.

She concluded that "This will always be a part our story." If nothing else, my hope is that someone reading this will know that they are not the only one.

Alexander praised his wife's honesty in the comments section of her post. He said, "I'm proud to call you my spouse, you amaze me everyday with your resilience strength, just love of life." This is our baby.
