Alyson Hannigan is a beloved actress who has played many roles, including Buffy The Vampire Slayer and American Pie. Her role has been a favorite in our hearts for more than 30 years. Alexis Denisof and Alyson Hannigan began as just friends

Hannigan met Denisof while working on the TV series Buffy the Vampire Slayer. Hannigan describes the two of them as "flirtation-at-first sight." Denisof was still recovering from a breakup and was wary about dating another co-star. They remained close friends. However, Hannigan began a relationship with another person and Denisof told the Sun, "When my new relationship ended, the whole thing suddenly turned around and Alex and I began to care about one another." It was 1999, two years later that we began to see each other. [sic]"

Hannigan had already been proposed to by a man before she started dating Denisof. However, Hannigan listened to her mother's advice to slow down and take her time before entering into marriage. She was ready when Denisof proposed to her. "I followed my mom's advice, and thought really hard about it--and didn’t marry until I was almost 30." They were married in Palm Springs in 2003. They got married over three days. They danced to the same song that their characters first performed on Buffy The Vampire Slayer.

Denisof was again kneeling on Denisof for their tenth wedding anniversary. Hannigan wrote, "My husband @AlexisDenisof surprised and delighted me yesterday with the most romantic day in my life!" This included a second proposal and a ring! They said yes!" The couple then renewed their vows in Hawaii in 2013.

They have two children

Satyana Marie, their first child, was born to the couple in March 2009. Their second daughter, Keeva Jane was born in 2012. Hannigan answered YourTango when asked if their daughters had brought them closer together. It's an amazing roller coaster ride. It's amazing, but also, it's, "Holy cow, it's us in it!"

Hannigan stated that she would take the children of Hannigan and her husband to work in 2013. Hannigan and Hannigan loved being on the set. However, Hannigan found it difficult to balance being a mom and working mother. She's blessed to have her husband, whom she describes as "a wonderful father."

What makes their relationship so successful?

It is difficult enough to find love that lasts, but Hollywood makes it seem even harder. Hannigan was worried about the impact the media would have on a relationship. She told Zap2It, "I swear I would never marry another actor." "But it was so much better to share what's so much of our lives with another actor and understand it fully." She explained to Zap2It that famous people aren't more qualified than any other person to handle a divorce. It is different with Alex and me because we prefer to keep our work private. It is a pleasure to come home to my actor husband."

They have clearly figured out how to make it work. What's the secret to their success? Hannigan shared with YourTango that her best love advice was "Don't ever ever spend more than 3 weeks apart."

Actors who film in many locations will always have to be apart. Even those brief periods apart can prove difficult. Us Hannigan said, "We love being together, and it just feels that part of my heart has gone when he leaves." This power couple makes love seem easy. "We're best friends.
