Billie Eilish, who had worn mostly baggier clothes for years, began to explore other styles when she turned 18 -- including more feminine and form-fitting clothing. She was almost immediately criticized.
Billie Eilish continues to grow and expand, as both an artist and a young woman. The 21-year-old has achieved much in the spotlight. This may explain why some people feel ownership of her style.
E! News reported that the "Happier Than Ever" singer posted a brutal post on her Instagram Stories this past Saturday. She took on those haters who have branded her a "sellout" ever since she began wearing more traditionally feminine styles which revealed her figure. The "Happier than Ever" singer addressed those who have deemed her a "sellout", ever since she began wearing traditional feminine styles which revealed her figure.
Eilish wrote, "I spent the first five years of my career being absolutely OBLITERATED because you fools told me i'd look hotter if I acted like woman," on a photo of her grimacing in front of the camera.
Before turning 18, the singer wore almost exclusively baggy and oversized clothes. Fans were equally obsessed with what they could not see about her figure. Others praised her for concealing her body under voluminous clothes.
In her message, Eilish continued. She continued, "and now that i feel comfortable wearing anything remotely feminine or fitted, i changed and am a SELLER," she wrote. "And 'what happened' oMg it's not the same biLlie, she's like the rest, bla bla."
You guys are idiots. She added, "LOL." "I can be BOTH of you ------ bozos. LET WOMEN EXIST! :))))"
Eilish continues to wear androgynous and traditionally masculine styles. This was evident at both the premiere of "Swarm" and Lollapalooza.
Like almost everyone else, her Instagram page changes from one look to another depending on what she is doing and how she feels.
Billie continued with "FUN FACT!" in a second slide, accompanied by a smirk. Did you know that women have many different sides? !!!!!??? It's shocking, right? "Women can be interested in many things"
She didn't stop there, continuing in another note to say, "Femininity is not weakness ???!!!! omg?! insane right? "Who knew?"
She wrote: "it is also unheard-of and insane for someone to express themselves differently at different times." Before concluding with a farewell message to her haters, she concluded her message by saying "suck my absolute crap and b ---- to you women hatting a** weirdos."
Page Six reported on May 17 that the singer of "Ocean Eyes", who split with Jesse Rutherford in less than a month, made the empowering statement. TMZ reported that the split was amicable, and the two remain friends. Last seen together was at Coachella, last month.
