The legendary tennis player and longtime friend Sir Elton got to perform "Philadelphia Freedom," the song he composed for her. She was then unmasked at The Masked Singer’s "Elton John's" night.

Billie Jean King was the most recent contestant unmasked in The Masked Singer.

The tennis player competed Wednesday as the Royal Hen, taking on The Hawk, The Husky and The Tiki in a tribute episode to music icon Sir Elton John.

King sang the song that he had written for her when she was competing on the show.

The judges Robin Thicke, Jenny McCarthy, Ken Jeong, and Nicole Scherzinger struggled to guess the identity of that pirate-inspired costume. They knew that underneath all the feathers was a famous icon.

Jeong commented after the Royal Hen song, "It was a great performance and I feel like a legend is hiding beneath that mask."

The Royal Hen revealed, as a hint, that President Barack Obama had awarded her the Presidential Medal of Freedom.

The audience voted for their favorite Elton song, and when the votes were tallied, The Royal Hen faced off against The Hawk in a Smackdown round, each singing a different verse of "Don't Break My Heart."

The Royal Hen was the one to suffer the consequences of a heated back and forth.

Jeong was the only member of the panel who correctly guessed that the Royal Hen in fact represented the tennis pioneer.

King was unmasked in front of the judges and audience to their delight. She spoke with the host Nick Cannon regarding her experience.

It was great but it's so hot! King exclaimed, "I'm sweating like a pig!," before sharing Wednesday night the story behind her song selection.

"I am lucky. He said "I want to write a song for you, and I was like, "What? What?' Then he asks, "What do we call it?" I say, "I don't think so." He says, "What about Philadelphia Freedom?" The 39-time Grand Slam champion recalled saying, "That would be the best gift for the people of Philadelphia, if you did that."

The song, which pays homage to the city known as Brotherly Love as well as King's World Team Tennis Club, the Philadelphia Freedoms is also the name of the club that John, as a King fan, would frequently go to support in the 1970s.

This song is still special, not only for King but also for the city that it was named for.

She added, "And when you get to Philadelphia, everyone is still playing it." It's the anthem of Philadelphia.

The Masked Singer is broadcast on Fox every Wednesday at 8 pm ET/PT.
