Blake Lively Uses Gwyneth Paltrow's Expert Witness In Parody Ad

Blake Lively Uses Gwyneth Paltrow's Expert Witness In Parody Ad

Paltrow's biomechanical engineering expert, Dr. Irving Scher, used a whiteboard again to give his "expert taste-imony".

The Internet could not stop buzzingabout Gwyneth's ski collision trial trial last month. Blake Lively used this trending topic to inspire her brand Betty Buzz.

Lively, who is promoting her sparkling non-alcoholic drink mixer brand, parodies Paltrow's ski accident case. She recruits Dr. Irving Scher to help Paltrow. Scher is a biomechanical engineer expert and was a witness during the trial. He also draws stick figures on a whiteboard detailing how the crash happened.

The 40-second-long ad, titled "Dr. Scher’s Expert Taste-imony" , began with a voiceover by Lively. He said: "Is it true that Betty Buzz has the best bubbly sparkling beverage in all of the world?" We asked an expert witness to help us find out.

The clip cut to Scher, who was called a "Fizzicist", referring to stick figures on a whiteboard. Each figure had a smiling face and a Betty Buzz bottle picture in their hands.

Scher explained, "See, when a person drinks Betty Buzz Meyer Lemonade, they have smiles on their faces." He used a dry erase marker to draw an arrow to point to the smiley-faced stick figure. They think, "Wow, that's so bubby."

Scher said, "Another person drinks sparkling Grapefruit and exclaims, "Mmm!" Betty Buzz is great.

"And of course in both cases the Betty Buzz goes into their stomachs here. Which is consistent with Newton's laws and the laws of Physics," he stated. The ad poked fun at Scher’s line from the trial where he said that "Paltrow’s version is consistent the laws of Physics."

The ad ended with the narrator stating, "Case closed!" Betty Buzz is scientifically considered to be the best sparkling drink in the world.

Scher can be heard responding to the sound of a givenl by saying, "I didn’t necessarily say that."

"You did. And you also said, Case closed. "Thank you, Dr. Scher," a narrator said to Scher in a hilarious response. Scher replied, "No, that's what you said." What's the matter?

Last month, the ski crash trial was concluded between Paltrow (retired optometrist) and Dr. Terry Sanderson. It involved a 2016 ski slope accident. Sanderson sued Paltrow, claiming that her reckless skiing caused broken ribs, permanent brain damage, and more than $300,000. He was allegedly responsible for the accident, she claimed.

The jury eventually ruled in Paltrow’s favor. They voted that Sanderson was responsible for their 2016 ski accident in Utah, and were "100% at fault." The actress was awarded $1 by the jury for the countersuit she filed.

Samantha Imrie, one of the jurors who sided for Paltrow, spoke out about the trial during an interview with ABC News. She credits Scher with solidifying her decision and helping Paltrow to win her case.

She said, "He's an expert in snow sports in many ways." "I believe Dr. Scher was able to speak to the din setting and had studied snow science. This is a strong opinion.
