Lee, now sober, recalls arriving on the set of HBO's 'And Just Like That.' "I couldn't understand what they were saying as I was reading the script," he says.

Bobby Lee's experience on the set and Just Like That, with Sarah Jessica Parker, inspired him to become clean.

The actor, who is 51, was featured on Wide Ideas With Rachel Bilson where he discussed his experience on the set that led to him becoming sober.

"When I used... this was the worst thing... "I was in Hawaii when I was blackout drunk, and my agent called and said that they needed me in New York," said Lee. This is why I am sober. "I remember being drunk and high when I went to [set on and Just Like That]... I could not understand the words they were saying."

It was a nightmare. I said that this would never happen again. You know, it's crazy how fast our disease grows. The actor who has been sober a year-and-a-half now said that it could have been the end of his career.

The host Rachel Bilson then asked Parker if she knew something was happening while they were filming. Lee replied, "No...She was leaving for France the following day, so I [had to] keep filming."

Lee has been a regular in the show since June, portraying Jackie in the reboot of Sex and the City ,.
