According to the boy's mother, her boyfriend "cut through their wooden floor and dug a trench in the ground. He was then buried under the house."

Arkansas 6-year-old boy, whose body was discovered under his house's floorboards last week, died after his boyfriend drowned him in the bathroom three months earlier.

An arrest affidavit revealed the horrific details after Blu Rolland's mother Ashley Rolland ( photographed ) and her boyfriend Nathan Bridges ( pictured ) were arrested and charged for capital murder, abuse and tampering physical evidence, and endangering a minor's welfare.

According to the affidavit, Ashley claimed that the child died in September when Bridges allegedly placed the boy's head in the toilet and drowned him as punishment for biting her finger. Bridges allegedly then "cut a hole through their wooden floor, dug an in the ground and buried him underneath the house."

However, another person who was interviewed by detectives said that Ashley had told her that she didn't know what to do after Blu came out of the toilet "with his face/body swelling, foaming at the mouth, before collapsing, and dying."

Police found the boy's body under the floor of the hallway on December 16, when his paternal grandmother visited the house to pick Blu and his sister up for a court-ordered visitor. The grandmother was told that the boy wasn’t there but the girl came out with a "scabbed on" head and could "hardly walk" after she brought her daughter to the hospital. As she took the girl to the hospital, the grandmother called the police.

The authorities noticed "newly-nailed-down boards" in the house and after ripping them up, they smelled the "pungent odor of decay." They also found a child's flipflop and eventually "an unidentified mass believed be small human body wrapped with multiple layers of plastic bags."

Arkansas State Police stated that it was believed that the boy died of injuries sustained at home three months ago. They also added that the state medical examiner would determine the cause and manner of his death.

The girl was taken to Memphis for treatment. Ashley claimed that Bridges had caused severe burns by placing her head in hot water and punishing her for her "behavior problems."

A friend set up a GoFundMe for the grandmother. The girl's hair was cut off, her body is malnourished and cracked ribs are some of the many injuries she has sustained.

Both Nathan and Ashley appeared in court this week. They were both ordered to be held without bond. According to WKB, Nathan was allegedly innocently questioned by a couple who claimed to be Nathan's parents.

Monday saw the pair appear in court and were released without bond.
