Britney Spears Book Claims: Timberlake Abortion, Body Shaming By Dad and Conservatorship Woes

Britney's memoir The Woman In Me is due to be released later this month. Some of the most shocking revelations are already making their way into the media, involving Justin Timberlake, her conservatorship, and her father.

You can expect to see many headlines in the coming weeks about Britney's Spears as her team intensifies publicity for her memoir, "The Woman In Me."

Spears' book is the first time she has told her own story after a lifetime of fame and almost 14 years in a highly publicized conservatorship. Before the book's release in April, the media has already begun to publish excerpts and stories about the explosive revelations she makes.

Spears told PEOPLE that she is "finally free" to "tell my story without consequence from those in charge of my career." She also said it was "finally the right time to speak up and raise my voice."

Her father slapped her in the face

Britney Spears said that although she had received comments on her body from the moment she entered the spotlight, it was nothing in comparison to what she is alleged to have received from Jamie Spears, her father and conservator.

It hurt more to hear my father criticize my body. She wrote that he repeatedly told her she looked fat, and said she would have to take action.

"Feeling that you are never good enough can be a crushing feeling for a young child. He had drilled that message into my head as a young girl and even though I had accomplished so much he continued to do it to me.

She felt like a "Robot", under conservatorship

Britney Spears was placed in conservatorship after a 5150 holding. Spears reflected on this time and said that she had "become a child-robot -- a kind of robot."

"I was so infantilized, I lost pieces of who I am. The conservatorship stripped my womanhood and made me a child. I became more than just a performer on stage. They stole my music from my bones and blood.

She claimed that she "vacillated between being a child, a teenager, and a woman," saying there was "no other way to behave as an adult," because she wasn’t treated like one. She explained, "I would act like a child and then my adult self would come back. But my world wouldn't let me be an adult."

She claimed that while she was told she could be "wild" onstage, she had to "act like a robot" the rest of time. This "felt like death to my creativity as an artis." She said that her father's team "having control over my body and money for so long" made "her feel sick."

Spears said she felt "like a shadow of myself" and added that if she was allowed to "live her life," she believed she would eventually have "followed [her] heart and come out from this the right way, and worked it out."

Britney Timberlake and Britney Spears Had an abortion after Britney got pregnant with Justin Timberlake

According to TMZ Britney claimed in her book in 2000 that she discovered she was pregnant by Justin Timberlake, the then boyfriend. Britney wanted the child because of her religious background, family upbringing and other factors, but she was "conflicted". They both agreed that an abortion was the best decision.

"It wasn't a disaster for me. It was just a shock." I loved Justin so very much. I expected that we would have a family one day. She wrote about the pregnancy via People. Justin was not happy with the pregnancy. He said that we weren't prepared to have a child in our life, and we were too young.

She added that she didn't know whether the abortion was a good decision. It would never have happened if it was up to me. Justin was sure he did not want to become a father. Spears said, "It's still one of the most painful things I've ever gone through in my life."

She split with Timberlake in 2002, and welcomed two sons in 2005 and 2006 with her ex-husband Kevin Federline.

Britney struggles to film Crossroads

Spears reflected on the filming of Crossroads in 2002 with Zoe Saldana, Taryn Manning and Spears . She said that the project was "not easy" for Spears . She said that she did not have any issues with anyone else on the set. Instead, her issues were caused by "what acting has done to my mind."

"I started Method Acting, but I didn't understand how to get out of the character I was playing. She said, "I really became this person" when she connected with her character Lucy. She added that she had no separation.

She said that while filming, she changed the way she walked, talked and carried herself. For months, it was like being "someone else". She said that living this way, as half of yourself and half of a fictional character is "messed up." After a while, you lose track of what's real.

Spears said that her costars probably thought her "quirky," due to her behavior. She added that she's glad she wasn't cast in The Notebook, or she would have "been acting like a 1940s Heiress Day and Night."

Why she shaved her head

Spears shocked everyone in 2007 by shaving her head completely. This was before she went under conservatorship.

In her book , she describes how she reacted to the situation at that time by shaving her head and acting out.

She said that after being placed under conservatorship she "was made to understand those days are now over." She added, "I was required to grow out my hair and get into shape." I had to get up early and take the medication that they prescribed.

The Woman in Me is out on October 24th
