Rihanna did not need special guests, costumes changes, or tricks. She was all about the music!

After much anticipation Rihanna took over State Farm Stadium, Glendale, Arizona, for a thrilling Super Bowl Halftime Show journey through the greatest hits.

This was Rihanna's most ambitious staging of a Halftime Show. She and her dancers began the performance on huge platforms that were raised above the field. The entire structure seemed to extend almost as far as the field.

RiRi wore a red jumpsuit that was unzipped at the waist and had a shiny bodice under. She exuded confidence as RiRi moved effortlessly around the stages.

The medley featured smash hits such as "Bitch, Better Have My Money", "Only Girl in the World", "Rude Boy," and "Umbrella." A climax was reached for "Diamonds."

The biggest surprise was the one that didn't happen. Rihanna is a multi-talented artist with a large catalog of hits, but she has also been a successful collaborator in the music industry.

Although there were many chances for Jay-Z and Eminem to join Rihanna for a few beats this performance was Rihanna's from beginning to end. With hit after hit, she let the music speak for herself.

ASAP Rocky had one of the best seats at the house and was captivated by her performance. As Rihanna returned to her superstar status, social media lit up with celebrity fans. Everyone else went online to share their joy.

A small group of people online who were used to the spectacle of Super Bowl Halftime Shows gave, found it disappointing that there were no surprises guests or visual stunts.

Some people noticed that she stopped the show to inspect her makeup, with the help of a dancer. She was using it as a promotion for her Fenty Beauty line.

She was so dominant that she topped the two charts on Twitter. It's quite impressive, but also funny, because her trending at number 2 just below her name is Rhianna.
