"I am an irresponsible user of drugs, but I'm no longer going to take diabetic drugs. It was something I tried, but I don't think I will do it again."

Chelsea Handler was apparently unaware that she was taking Ozempic, Hollywood's latest weight loss drug.

During an appearance on "Call Her Daddy", Handler, 47, opened up about her diabetes experience. Handler said she didn't know her doctor had prescribed it to her.

The "Fun Size” star claimed that she just hands the medication out to anyone who wants to lose five pounds.

Handler knew she was using Semaglutide, but she didn't realize it was also called Ozempic until she went to eat out with a friend.

"I returned from vacation and I instilled myself with it. A few days later, I went out to lunch with my girlfriend and she said that she wasn't eating much. She said, "I'm so nauseated, I'm on Ozempic," and then recalled some symptoms she felt as a result. "I was like, ‘I’m kind of nausea too.’ However, I was just returning from Spain and was jet-lagged. It had been over a month. White privilege."

Chelsea's friend asked her if she was sure that her medication wasn’t Ozempic. She replied, “What is it?” Her friend confirmed that she was on Semaglutide and that it is Ozempic.

Although Handler has still been able to access small amounts of the drug, she said that it was a miracle drug and she is no longer using it.

She explained that she was not taking the drug anymore. "I am an irresponsible user of drugs, but I'm no longer going to take diabetic drugs. It was something I tried, but I won't do it again. This is not right for me. This is not right for me."

Handler said that she has resorted temporarily to sobriety in order to look "good," for engagements such as hosting the Critics Choice Awards or "The Daily Show."

Chelsea claims that she has injected her friends with the left-over doses.

It's ridiculous. She said it was for heavy people, but then joked that she was now a doctor. "I get people coming to my house, and I'm like, "Okay, I can see them at one, but I can see them at two."
