In an interview with Andy Cohen, she said: "I knew that was the moment I needed to end my relationship with him."

Chelsea Handler was having so much fun with her ex-boyfriend during a trio, that she saw the third person "several" times without him.

Andy Cohen asked the comedian if she'd ever dated any women in the past. She admitted that it was not a serious relationship, but she did say she and her then-boyfriend Ted Harbert – former president of E! – had dated. NBC and Entertainment had a a three with a woman who also was their masseuse.

She added that it was "fun" and she would "definitely" do it again. Handler denied that she had done it to "please the man" at the time. She said she did it because she was "very turned on" by the woman she was with.

She said, "That's the moment I knew it was finally time to end things with him," adding that their ex had never known about her extracurricular activity with her third. She joked, "Hopefully he is listening now," adding that he was in Portugal and might not be able to see this.

Handler continued to state that, while she liked the idea of a threesome, she is only interested in two women and one man.

She explained that she didn't want to be double-teamed by a man, but liked the idea of having another woman in the situation. The other woman would "do everything I am too lazy to do," she said.

Handler clarified during the same conversation that she began dating Harbert only after had already launched her talk show for his network.

She said "Contrary public belief," before adding that she doesn't mind if anyone speculates otherwise. "It's irrelevant if the information is false. It's obvious that I have a career for about 25 years. "I don't care what anyone thinks," she continued.

They began dating in 2006. Then they split up in 2010. Later, she claimed that they split up because there were no clear boundaries between work and home life.

Ted would ask me, "Do you want to see your show?" "No, I just finished my show," I would say. She told Marie Claire, "That's the last I would want to do." It didn't work because of that. "I think."
