Cher shares details from Georgia Holt's last moments on Earth with us.

Soon after Holt's death on Dec. 10, Cher took to Twitter to share the events that led up to her mother's passing. Cher stated that Holt was "sick and rallying" before her illness took her down.

"The truth.... The "Burlesque” star wrote, "She's been sick & rallying." "She got worse, she was in so much pain. Finally, she coded her way to Hosp.

She lamented, "By the time we got to host .... The woman who was MY KICKASS MOM was No longer Here."

Holt's passing comes three months after Cher announced that Holt's mother had been hospitalized with pneumonia. Holt's death was explained by the actress of "Mama Mia", who also explained that she had been absent from social media at the time.

In September, she admitted that "Sorry I've been Mia", "Mom's been sick off & on. She Just Came Out Of Hospital. She had Pneumonia. She is getting better."

Cher spoke out about her mother's health during the COVID-19 spike in 2020.

PEOPLE asked her to tell the truth. She said she was careful with her mother, who had COVID, and that she got it tested "all the times".

She said that she had a small bubble that she'd been living in for a long time. We wear masks and there aren't many of them. It's my sister and my brother-in law, my mom, and my assistant. We are far from one another."

Cher observed, "I must be careful too because my asthma is very severe." ... I have other health issues."

She also shared some of her childhood memories about Holt with Grammy winner. She spoke of her mother's beauty and the admirable dress she wore to school.

Cher, who was "really strong-headed," admitted that she and Holt "fought lots" growing up.

Cher said that she had done a few things, including running away from home when she was 11. "I took a train ride with my friends. I was very adventurous, but not disrespectful. She would not have been able to put up with it."
