Crystal Hefner claims she has finally let go of her Playboy past.

Hugh Hefner's widow, Joanne, took to Instagram to celebrate her "real" self after she stopped posting NSFW content. She shared her story about how she made conscious efforts to alter her image from the "Playboy" years, despite a drop in followers.

"After the past few years of being true to myself on Social Media, I feel that all those around me now actually care about my life and are invested in it in a positive manner and that is why I am grateful," she said. Hefner continued to state that she had "removed all fake things from my body and deleted my old photos", likely to refer to her 2016 decision not to have breast implants removed because they were "slowly poisoning" her. She said that she now feels more authentic and vulnerable, and that she belongs to herself. "I am mine."

According to the 35-year old, while she made the conscious decision to change her appearance, she was still unsure if her Instagram account would survive. She explained that she saw her followers drop by thousands each day in the beginning and it became so bad she was "in red."
