American royals were astonished by the short visit of Prince William and Kate Middleton to Boston recently for the Earthshot Prize awards ceremony. While the couple was there for business, behind-the scenes photos show how much fun they had together.

Middleton's Green Look For Earthshot Prize

William wore a navy velvet blazer with a black bowtie for the Earthshot ceremony. Middleton wore a green long-sleeved gown with an electric green hem that she rented from HURR (a UK rental site for designer dresses).

The Duchess Of Cambridge paired it up with an emerald choker, which belonged to Princess Diana, her mother-in-law. She once wore it as a headband rather than a necklace.

Backstage photos show how in love they are

Some shots of the royal couple backstage at Earthshot Award show how much they love one another. One picture shows the couple smiling at one another while they stand close to each other. Middleton is seen laughing with William, while William laughs with him.

The couple posted some of the photos to their official Twitter account. Many people loved the photos. Many fans shared their love for the couple by leaving heart emojis or comments below the post.

William and Middleton first met while they were students at St. Andrews University. They dated for many years. They were engaged in 2010, and they got married the next year. They have three children, Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis.

Boston Trip of the Prince and Princess of Wales

This is the couple's first trip to the United States for almost a decade. William and Middleton attended a Boston City Hall ceremony, sat in court at a Celtics game and visited Greentown Labs. They also met crowds at non-profit Roca which assists high-risk youth.

The prince and princess split up for another day of appearances--Middleton visited Harvard University's Center on the Developing Child, while the Prince of Wales toured the John F. Kennedy Presidential Library and Museum and met with President Biden.

Royal fans enjoyed seeing behind-the scenes moments with the Prince and Princess Of Wales. It seems that the royal couple is just as in love as 20 years ago.
