Dancing With The Stars Partners Who Didn't Get Along

Dancing With The Stars Partners Who Didn't Get Along

There are many, many others! From Jesse Metcalfe to Sharna Burgess and Kirstie Ally to Maksim Chrmerkovskiy.

Dancing With The Starsmay look like a fun show, but there is a lot going on behind the scenes. It is no easy task to transform celebrities into expert dancers within a few weeks. Rehearsals are usually intense. It's not easy to turn celebrities into expert dancers in just a few weeks. Rehearsals are often intense.

There have been a number of DWTSpartners who just did not work well together. These celebs and professional partners clashed constantly, whether it was because of their different communication style or uncomfortable moments.

What happened between these dancing partners?

1. Jesse Metcalfe & Sharna Burgess

Sharna Burgess revealed recently that she had "two celebrity partners" that made her feel "very, extremely uncomfortable". She didn't mention any names but said that one of her partners was constantly flirting with her. When she stopped him, he got frustrated. She then referred to a second person, who she implied was Jesse Metcalfe.

I had a situation where my partner and I couldn't even be alone in the same room. She said that it was a very difficult situation. "I did the right thing and even though I couldn't record everything, I was able record some things. I also followed the correct procedures and reports were made. I was then taken care of."

A representative for Jesse responded by denying the accusations, saying: "If she's referring to the time when our client Jesse Metcalfe was working with Ms. Burgess, four years ago, all I remember is that they weren't on good terms." Vague insinuations not only are reckless, but they're also irrelevant."

2. Hannah Brown & Alan Bersten

Fans thought that Hannah Brown, the former Bachelorette, and Alan Bersten had such a strong chemistry they were dating. The partners did not get along behind the scenes. Hannah claims that the two had "totally differing" communication styles, and Alan pushed Hannah "too much" in rehearsals -- sometimes leaving her in tears.

Alan kept telling me, "You have to believe in me if we are going to do this." Trust was the last thing that I wanted to give to a new man. Standing strong as a partner in dance, I grew to trust Alan every week. Our performances showed that. The press speculated that our chemistry on stage was more than just a show. But we weren't. Hannah wrote that "off the dance floor we were not compatible individuals." In her book God bless This Mess.

She added, "It is intense work between partners that have just met." Alan and I, however, had by far the most volatile relationship during the season. Either we acted as best friends or true partners, but we could not stand each other. He would push me too hard in rehearsals and I would say "Get out of my Face." He would say, "You're laziness!" when I said, "I'm not doing it." "You're not even trying!"

3. Kirstie Alley & Maksim Chmerkovskiy

Kirstie Ally and Maksim Chrmerkovskiy had a close friendship while competing in DWTS, but their relationship fell apart after the filming was completed. Maksim believes that it is because he has become friends with Leah Remini who frequently speaks out against Church of Scientology, of which Kristie Alley was a part before she passed away.

I thought we had a good relationship. If it was anything else, I didn't know. Maksim told Watch what Happens Live that he received a message saying that he was no longer allowed to speak with her because I had been associating myself with people she could not be associated with.

Years later, they clashed once again when Maksim urged Kristie not to support the war in Ukraine. Kristie, however, slammed Maksim instead and threatened to expose secrets about him. Maksim described their relationship as a "wild ride" after her death in 2022.

4. Kate Gosselin & Tony Dovolani

Tony Dovolani nearly quit after he was paired with Kate Gosselin. Kate shouted at Tony during a heated moment of rehearsals. Tony removed his microphone and said, "I'm finished, I'm out of here today." I quit!"

Tony made a joke after filming ended that there was "a lot" of therapy involved with working with Kate. This jab, which she didn't take lightly, caused Kate to take offense. Kate said in a now deleted post for Coupon Cabin that she knew Tony was not her best dancer, but she was "surprised by his comments."

Kate wrote: "It is unfortunate that Tony only has a negative memory of our time spent together, after spending so many hours, nights, days and weeks together working hard to do our best at the competition."

Later, she added: "Despite all the obstacles I had to overcome, I have a very positive memory of that experience!" I have made lifelong friendships, I have tons of wonderful memories, and I learned a great deal about myself. I do not regret anything! "I wish Tony and any future dance partners nothing but success in the future."

5. Ian Ziering & Cheryl Burke

Cheryl Burke responded to a question in 2016 about her least favourite dance partner, Ian Ziering. She went so far as to state that she wanted to "slit her wrists" after she worked with him. This was a statement that she regretted later.

"I have always followed the rule: If you don't want to say anything nice, then don't. Cheryl , who wrote on X recently and regrettably broke this rule. In the heat of a conversation during an interview, I said a phrase which made suicide seem trivial and I regret it.

6. Hope Solo & Maksim Chmerkovskiy

Hope Solo and Maksim Chrmerkovskiy experienced a turbulent time while working on The DWTS. Hope Solo claimed in her autobiography solo: a memoir of Hope that Maksim was very aggressive towards her during rehearsals.

"He was harshly critical and rude to me. He would often swear at me. He pushed me, hit my stomach and bent my arms in the beginning of rehearsals. Maks tried to get me into a position, and he hit my stomach with his palm so hard that it left a permanent red mark.

Maksim shared his thoughts on Hope later, describing her as a "s ----y" person.

"People can either be good or bad. Growing up can be a difficult experience. You can grow up in a difficult environment. You can have a history. You can have anything. You can have whatever you want. He said, "There's no excuse for it" on the Allegedly with Theo Von and Matthew Cole Weiss Podcast.

7. Mischa Barton & Artem Chigvintsev

Mischa Barton did not enjoy her time at DWTS. Her relationship with Artem Chigvintsev was intense during the three weeks that she appeared on the show. Mischa Barton said that nothing went as planned.

"I had no idea that it would be this bad." My dancer told me off. She told the Ringer that she was supposed to be in charge of the costumes. "I was told I could design the costumes and that was the main reason I agreed to it."

She said, "That didn’t happen." It was not collaborative, like a dancer on a movie set... I was confused. It was similar to The Hunger Games. All of it was a popularity competition. It was terrible. "I was so happy to be kicked out."
