"Is he denying that we went to Mars in 1969?" After MGK's acceptance speech, one fan confusedly tweeted

Machine Gun Kelly is being questioned by fans if he believes that we have been to the moon.

After he won Favorite Rock Act, MGK's acceptance speech at Sunday's American Music Awards was a source of confusion. He reacted to criticism of his departure from rock music.

The suit was clearly a Pinhead snatch, and the former rapper was wearing it with hundreds of spikes all over. Presenter Meghan Trainor smartly chose to give a hug.

He made a joke about how the mic stand was too short, and then added that "This suit is really uncomfortable for you to pee in."

"There have been some people within the rock community that called me a tourist but they're wrong. I'm a Rocket Man," MGK argued before appearing to doubt the actual moon landing.

He continued, "We weren’t born on the Moon, but we were curious so we went there, supposedly." "And these two rock albums were to me me going to the Moon."

Then he said that he was still exploring and described himself as "all genres", before signing off, "I'll be there on Mars motherf---ers!"

TooFab reached out to a representative of Machine Gun Kelly in order to confirm his stance on the moon landing.

Fans took to Twitter to ask the rapper what he believes.

Machine Gun Kelly said that we "supposedly" traveled to the moon. Does he really doubt that 1969 was the year we went to orbit? Did he really just break the mic? What happened? LOL #AMAs
