Doja Cat became a social media sensation after a purrfectly funny moment occurred during an interview at the Met Gala.
The singer's sparkling, jaw-dropping look was a tribute to Lagerfeld’s famous cat Choupette. Doja, 27 wore an Oscar de la Renta gown in white and silver, with a cat-ear headpiece. The singer of "Kiss Me More", completed her look with a cat-like prosthetic face.
It wasn't just her outfit that got people talking. Social media erupted after Doja, a Vogue Met Gala correspondent Emma Chamberlain's Met Gala correspondent was seen in character as a cat during the interview.
Chamberlain asks Doja about her appearance, and she responds with meows.
Chamberlain went along with it and pretended that Doja was speaking English. This made the interview more funny.
What was your inspiration tonight? "And go into detail," said the internet star to the pop singer, who then meowed once more.
Social media users shared their opinions about the interview on Twitter and Instagram. It's safe say that they loved it.
Andrew Lloyd Webber wrote on Vogue's Instagram comment: "Cats, the sequel @dojacat?" Musical's official Instagram account also commented, "Met Ball?" "More like Jellicle ball."
Katy Perry seemed to find it so funny that she could not spell correctly. She wrote "IM WCREAMT" in one comment before adding "THE ONLY TTHING RHAT MATTWRS" in another. It seems she meant to say "I am screaming." "The only thing that counts.

Nick Jonas, Priyanka Chhopra and others also recreated the interview as a TikTok clip. The couple, who attended the Met Gala Monday night, can be seen in a van, with Jonas playing Chamberlain and Chopra as Doja.
Doja also had another viral Met Gala experience, which occurred shortly before her interview Chamberlain.
Doja was captured on Vogue's livestream as she casually hit her vape in background while Chamberlain interviewed Jennie of Blackpink. Fans reacted to the hilarious moment on Twitter.

Choupette, the cat of Karl Lagerfel, was also honored by Doja.
Jared Leto wore a white furry mascot suit with blue ice eyes. Lil Nas X, a singer who is a Choupette fan, wore a Dior Homme look that was inspired by slender cats. The "Industry Baby," who was dressed in a head-to toe silver pant with a silver bejeweled face mask, also paid homage to Choupette. Lil Nas X appeared to be in character as Doja by answering reporters' questions on the red carpet with "meows."
This year's Costume Institute Exhibition was dedicated to late fashion designer Karl Lagerfeld. The theme of the exhibition was "Karl Lagerfeld - A Line of Beauty". Dress code for the event was both an easy prompt and a challenging challenge, as guests were asked to dress "in honor" of Karl. Lagerfeld designed for his own brand, as well as Patou, Balmain and Chanel.
Penelope Cruz is co-chairing the gala with Michaela Coel. Roger Federer and Dua Lipa are also on board. And of course, Anna Wintour from Vogue will be there as well.
The Metropolitan Museum of Art, New York City will be hosting the exhibition from May 5 through July 16.
