She also spoke out about J.Lo's famous dress and reflected on her decision to take over Versace following the murder of her brother.

Britney Spears and Donatella Versace go back a long way!

The 67-year old fashion icon spoke out about Britney's 2022 wedding to Sam Asghari, after her 13-year conservatorship was ended.

Donatella said that Britney was so free and happy. The wedding was small but beautiful. For the wedding and the after-party, I made her the dress. I spent several days with her."

According to the designer, Britney and Donatella first met in early Britney's career.

She explained that she believed she was the first designer she had ever met in her lifetime. "She came to Milano [when] it was 20 years ago, 21...not even 21."

Versace said, "It was like looking at her." She was at the peak of her career, yet she was so humble. She said yes to doing a few interviews. She did everything, and she never said no. She was incredible."

Donatella also discusses how Donatella explained how Jennifer Lopez's Grammy Awards appearance in 2000 in the Versace green, low-cut, and backless tropical-patterned Versace gown was one of fashion’s most memorable moments. Google Images was created because the Versace gown was such an instant hit.

She explained that she had made the dress and then thought about J.Lo. She is all about femininity...it shows. She is a talented artist. She can sing and act. You could see her confidence when she wore the gown and the world went wild.

Although Donatella has helped Versace reach new heights over time, the designer confessed that she wishes she hadn't inherited the fashion house from her brother, Gianni Versace.

She said, "I wish it never happened...it was a shock." It was shocking because it happened in a matter of minutes. He was there for a minute, then he disappeared. He died 25 minutes after I spoke to him by phone. I was shocked when they told me the good news. "I said it was impossible, so I spoke to Gianni."

It was sudden. It was so sudden. I believe we spoke to each other about 25 minutes before it happened. He was in Miami, that's in Miami. It was very early in the morning. He said, "I'm going to go to buy magazines. I'll call your when I return." Donatella said that he had told her this and never called me back.

Donatella said that it was "bittersweet" for Ratajkowski to have taken over.
