Drea de Matteo Joined OnlyFans After Not Following Hollywood Rules: 'I Don't Want to Be at the Mercy of Mandates'

The Sopranos actress said, "I suppose you could say that I was a badgirl because I didn't follow the rules two years ago."

Drea de Matteo reveals what led her to Join OnlyFans.

In an interview with Fox News Digital. The Sopranos star revealed that she had decided to change careers and open an adult subscription service account after being labeled as a "savage". She said this was because she felt she was being called a "savage in the industry" due to her position on vaccine mandates.

"I didn't realize that this would be a life-changing experience, and that at a time when I was supposed to be relaxing, I would suddenly have to change careers and learn new skills because my industry considers me, you're right, a savage," de Matteo said.

"I suppose you could say that I was a badgirl because I didn't follow the rules two years ago." "I don't ever want to be a victim of mandates, strikes or anything else like that again," she said, referring to Covid-19 vaccination mandates, as reported by Fox News Digital. She also mentioned the Hollywood Strike.

The Emmy-winning actress, best known as Adriana Lacerva in The Sopranos, claimed that her agent had dropped her and she "almost ended up losing our home" over the incident.

De Matteo said, "People find it hard to believe I never received a lot of money for the work I did." "People think that I am made of gold and I'm actually not. I've been working from job to job. "I've had to turn down a lot of jobs just so I could be with my kids because their father is on the road and not as present."

The Sons of Anarchy actress has expressed her support for Robert F. Kennedy Jr. who is well-known for his anti-vaccine views and for promoting conspiracy theories regarding public health. She has also spoken against Covid-19 protocols and mandates on film and television sets.

De Matteo announced last month that she had started an OnlyFans. She says she has received criticism for her decision but "[doesn’t care]" what it is.

I know that some people have made some negative remarks about me for joining OnlyFans. "But, you know, we think of mommy as a fighter, who doesn't accept defeat, in our house," she said. "I thought, 'OK so everyone's in underwear on Instagram being sexy and I don’t do that. But I can do it and get paid.' "I don't understand why I hadn't thought of this earlier."

De Matteo stated that her children, Alabama (15) and Waylon (also known as "Blackjack") (12), encouraged her to become a member of the platform.

"My children were the ones who said, 'Do this.' She will [de Matteo’s daughter] also edit the photos, because they have certain things that we are not able to do," said Fox News Digital. "I used have a lot more money. Then, suddenly, I was no longer allowed to do any work. I never was the type of actor who took on jobs to stay in the industry. "I literally took jobs to feed our family."

She continued, "So when people make bad comments about why I did that, my reply is: 'Damn right, I hope you never find yourself in the same f----king situation I am in. I have to take care of a family, and many other people depend on me.
