"Laughter, hugging, dancing, laughing, and singing is the best thing that we can do."
Ellen DeGeneres shared a new selfie video Friday honoring Stephen "tWitch", Boss, and sharing how everyone should pay respect to him.
tWitch was Ellen’s long-time DJ on her morning show. She sometimes served as a guest hose when she wasn't there. According to the Los Angeles County Medical Examiner earlier this month, Boss committed suicide at 40 years old.
"Hello everyone, I just wanted you to know that the past 11 days were really difficult for all of us. "Everyone is in pain and trying make sense and it's hard to understand it all and the holidays are difficult anyway, I think," DeGeneres started the clip.
She continued, "But to honor Twitch, I think it's the best thing we can all do is laugh, hug, dance, laugh and sing." We honor him by doing the things he loved, such as dancing, music, and games. We do that.
She said, "It seems difficult, it seems impossible. But that's how honor him. We hug and tell one another we love them, and let people know that we are there for them.
The video ended with her wishing her fans a happy holiday. She also said, "I know it isn't a happy holidays, but he was pure sunshine, as everyone in the comments stated." You knew this if you were close to him. You saw him even if you didn't know it. Let's remember him, think about him, and love one another.
After his appearance on "The Wade Robson Project," tWitch made his debut as a contestant in "So You Think You Can Dance," where he was a judge again in 2018 and earlier this year. He was also a part of three "Step Up" films as well as "Magic Mike XXL."
In 2013, he married Allison Holker, a fellow dancer, and adopted Weslie Holker's daughter. They welcomed two more children together: Maddox (6 years old) and Zaia (3 years). Bosss and Holker celebrated the 9th anniversary of their marriage earlier in this month.
