In his forthcoming memoir "Pageboy," Oscar nominee Page claims that the famous "a**hole actor" at a party also told him that homosexuality "doesn’t exist" just two months after Page announced he was gay.
Elliot Page claims that a famous actor said once he would have sex to "make him realize" he was not gay.
In An excerpt from "Pageboy," the Oscar-nominated actor recalled an encounter that occurred at a Los Angeles birthday party a few months after coming out as gay. Page came out as transsexual in 2020.
Elliot Page Reveals he had a relationship with Kate Mara right after coming out as gay in 2014.
Page wrote, in a book titled "Famous A---hole At Party," that a famous actor, whom he called "an acquaintance," told him: "You're not gay. This doesn't even exist. "You are afraid of men."
The acquaintance of the "Umbrella Academy's" star said, "I am going to f----you to make you realise you are not gay."
Page wrote that he met the actor a few days later and the man said, "I swear I don't mind gay people." Page reported that he responded, "I believe you might."
The "Juno'" star said to People that he "purposefully does not share his name." He will know who it is when he hears about this. Page said that many people present at the party saw the exchange between him and the other actor.
He said that he has had similar experiences in the past.
He told People, "I have had that happen to me many times in my life." Many queer and transgender people have to deal with this constantly. We often don't like to talk about these moments or are supposed to brush them off. But they're very terrible.
Page continued, "I included that story because I wanted to highlight the reality of what we face and the messages that are sent constantly, especially in environments where the majority is cis or heterosexual. We have to navigate a world that is full of extreme and overt moments. You can also choose to make subtler jokes. These are powerful people in Hollywood. "They're the ones who choose what stories are told and create content for people around the globe to watch."
The book "Pageboy: a Memoir" is scheduled to be released on 6 June.
