The search for Danelo Cavalcante who terrorized Chester County, Pennsylvania, for the past two weeks has come to an end.
The authorities announced his capture Wednesday morning, after an aircraft tracking him with thermal technology and US Border Patrol K-9.
The heroic dog subdued the armed escaped criminal who was in possession a stolen rifle and brought an end to a county-wide hunt.
The 34-year old murderer who made an daring escape from prison in August was arrested while wearing a stolen Philadelphia Eagles jacket.
Although a photo of Cavalcante with a bloodied face was taken by the Pennsylvania State Police, Lt. Colonel George Bivens said to press on Wednesday that Cavalcante only had a minor canine bite.
Cavalcante will be housed in a penitentiary that has not yet been announced after he is processed.
This summer, the killer was found guilty of murdering his former girlfriend in 2021. The 33-year old stabbed Deborah Brandao a total of 38 times, according to the prosecutors. He allegedly murdered her in front her two children after she discovered he was wanted in Brazil for another murder.
