Eric Braeden, star of "The Young and The Restless," is suing Eva Longoria over comments she made about her struggle to make ends meet on a daytime soap.

During a CNN interview, the 48-year old actress of "Desperate Housewives" was shown a clip from one of her scenes on "The Young and The Restless." Her reaction caused at least one soap star to feel a certain way.

Longoria stated that it was hard for her to make ends meets while working on soap operas and had to take on a second job, as a headhunter at an agency.

"When I moved to Hollywood I had my bachelor's degree. So when I told my mom that I was going to become an actress, she was like, "Well." The star said that she was fine, as I had just graduated college. "But, when I got The Young and the Restless it didn't pay enough to me to be an actor."

She said that she kept her secret about her role on the show because she didn't want her clients to believe she was a dumb actress in charge of their accounts.

"I was like, don’t tell anyone I’m on that show. She noted that I was still making more on my day job, but she was able to see the reason.

Braeden was not thrilled with Longoria’s comments and took to Twitter to express his opinion.

They would run rings around your neck! They did! Many of them, from Robert di Nero all the way to whomever they are, started in the medium that you denigrate. This shows that there is a complete lack in class! !

"EVA LONGORIA, you made disparaging remarks about daytime actors!" He wrote that she was not able to withstand the pressures of this medium. "You were extremely lucky to be on the 'housewife' program!" With mediocre, but still salacious dialogue, you did one show in 8-12 Days!

He pointed out that many talented A-list actresses and actors got their start on daytime TV shows.

"Our actresses would run rings about you!" They did! Braeden continued. Braeden continued. This shows that there is no class!

Many social media users, including his fans, felt Braeden overreacted and went too far in his criticism.

Although Longoria has since left the soap, "The Young and Restless," still airs on CBS weekdays.
