Thanksgiving is the ideal way to start the holiday season. It's a time when you can be surrounded with family, friends, food, and great TV. As the Thanksgiving meal is being prepared and the apple pie is being baked you should take the time to relax and watch holiday programming to get in the holiday spirit.

Start the day with the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade. Later in the day, tune into The National Dog Show. For all sports lovers, there is always plenty of football on the air.

Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade

The Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade airs every year from 9 AM to noon in all time zones. It will also be rebroadcast at 2 PM to 5 pm ET. You can view it on NBC, or stream it on Peacock's website or app. You can also view the parade on any streaming service that includes NBC, such as Hulu + Live TV or Fubo, YouTube TV or Sling TV.

The parade will feature several new balloons, including a giant Bluey and Greg from the "Diary of a Wimpy Kid". Pikachu and Snoopy, as well as old favorites like SpongeBob SquarePants, SpongeBob SquarePants, and Snoopy will be back. Jordin Sparks and Big Time Rush will perform at Floats. Fitz and the Tantrums, Joss Stone, and Fitz and the Tantrums will also be performing. Santa Claus will be closing the event with his holiday helpers.

The National Dog Show

The 21st anniversary is this year of The National Dog Show being broadcast by NBC. John O'Hurley will host the competition. It will air immediately after the parade in all time zones at 12PM. Viewers can watch the competition on NBC, NBCSports.com, and on the NBC Sports App.

Football

Three different football games will be available on Thursday for sports fans to tune in, including the 83rd Annual Thanksgiving Game of the Lions and the 55th Thanksgiving Game of the Cowboys. You can catch all of the games by spreading them out over the day.
