What happened to the Psychic Friends Network

Gen Xers might recall Warwick's infomercials about the Psychic Friends Network. It was founded in 1991, and declared bankruptcy in 1998. It started as a telephone-based service, but it moved online in 2012. Their name was changed to Peer to Peer Network two years later. It is a publicly traded entity but information about it remains scarce.

These questions are a great way to learn more about why she was chosen as their spokesperson. At its peak, the Psychic Friends Network was reportedly making $125 million a Year. Warwick's infomercials, which echoed the decor and format of a typical daytime talk show, must have fueled their popularity.

Warwick stated that one of the episodes featured Warwick saying, "I believe anyone watching this show could benefit from speaking with a psychic."

Warwick appeared to be distant from the Psychic Friends network when she was interviewed about her involvement in it years later, in 2020. Warwick stated that she was more interested in generating income than having a strong personal belief about psychic readings.

She stated, "It was during an extended period of time that I wasn't recording. It kept the lights on and my food on the table. It gave me a lot of earning power. I made more money than I would have if I had been on the road. It's easy.

Warwick, when asked if she believes in psychics, reportedly replied, "No more than anyone else."
