The new footage also features Issa Rae as the Spider-Woman.

The trailer for the much-anticipated sequel of 2018's Academy Award-winning film "Spider-Man 2: Into the Spider-Verse", is finally available. It looks amazing, just like the original.

The sequel will once again feature Miles Morales (voiced in Shameik Moore), in an epic adventure that "transports Brooklyn's friendly neighborhood Spider-Man across time to join forces with Gwen Stacy, Hailee Steinfeld, and a new group of Spider-People to face a villain stronger than any they have ever encountered."

This film features three new Spider-People: Spider-Man 2099 (Oscar Isaac), Spider-Woman Jessica Drew, and Spider-Punk. In the new footage, the first two of these -- as well as a lot of other variations of the web-slinger -- are seen.

The trailer shows Miles and 2099 in a face-off, but the main antagonist of the movie is The Spot (voiced Jason Schwartzman).

Kemp Powers, one the film's directors, said that the character's ability to "open portals across dimensions sets it up perfectly for Spider-Verse." Powers stated that The Spot was not a singular character and added, "And let's just state that the Spot, Miles, and all of them are connected in surprising ways."

"Across the Spider-Verse," hits theaters June 2, 2023. A third film, "Beyond the Spider-Verse", is already scheduled for release in March 2024.
