The founder of goop explained that her anti-inflammatory diet is transparent.

Gwyneth Paltrow has rewritten the record on her controversial diet, and wellness regimen after backlash.

The goop founder spoke out on Dear Media's podcast "The Art of Being Well". She shared her daily diet and fitness plan. This included fasting until noon, bone broth as lunch, and vegetables for dinner. Paltrow was later criticised for her "almond mom" diet and bare-bones meal plan.

The actress took part in a Q&A on Friday with her Instagram followers. One user asked about her views on the "backlash” surrounding her "nutrition/diet regime." Paltrow, 50 clarified her comments and explained why she adheres to an anti-inflammatory meal program.

She began by referring to Dr. Will Cole who is a functional medicine practitioner.

Paltrow stated that she has COVID for a long time and that it causes inflammation over time. She also said that Dr. Cole has been helping her to focus on healthy foods.

Oscar winner, Jennifer Lawrence, named "lots and vegetables", "all kinds protein" and "healthy carbohydrates" as examples of foods that she believes have "really lower inflammation."

Paltrow stated that the diet is "working really well" for herself, but she also stressed that the meal plan was specifically designed for her and said it should not be interpreted as Paltrow recommending the diet to others.

She explained that this is based on the extensive testing and medical results I have done over the years. This was an honest look at the conversation between me, my doctors. It is not intended to be advice. It's just what I have found to work for me. It has been extremely powerful and very beneficial."

She added, "This does not mean that I eat the same way every day." "I eat far more than just bone broth and vegetables. I eat whole meals and have many days where I can eat whatever I want. My goal has always been to eat healthy foods and to calm my system.

Paltrow shared her weirdest wellness experience during an appearance on "The Art of Being Well", sharing that she has done rectal oxygen therapy.

"I have tried ozone therapy, rectally. "Can I say that?" The "Iron Man” actress stated. It's quite bizarre. It is quite strange, yes. It's been extremely helpful."

A catheter is inserted into the colon to deliver powerful gas. Some proposed benefits of rectal ozone therapy include reduced pain/inflammation, increased energy, improved metabolism/circulation, stimulated immune system, detoxification, anti-aging, and fighting bacterial/viral infections.

The FDA issued a statement in 2019 stating that there is no evidence to support or prevent the use of ozone for medical purposes and that it was a toxic gas.

FDA states that ozone must have disinfectant and anti-viral properties.

Paltrow shared her exercise routine with Dr. Cole. She includes transcendental meditation and Pilates, as well as the Tracy Anderson workout, and 30-minute infrared sauna sessions.

The "Seven" actress is well-known for her use of wellness techniques such as vaginal steamings and yoni eggs. However, when she looks back, she explains that her interest in these methods began after her father was diagnosed.

"Until my father was diagnosed as a cancer patient, I didn't think much about [wellness] until that time. Paltrow shared her insights about how she realized there was a connection between what we eat and what we are exposed to. And how it was being expressed through diseases. That's when I began researching everything I could. Talking to people. Understanding the connections between environmental toxins and cancer... What led to the creation disease in our culture?"
