Ava Sambora (61), who shares a home with her ex-husband Richie Sambora and is a "Melrose Place", alumnus, received a master's in marriage, family, and couples therapy from the University of Southern California on Friday.

Locklear shared a photo of the ceremony on Sunday and congratulated Locklear's daughter for the achievement.

Locklear captioned the photo of Locklear, 25, accepting her diploma. Congratulations, my little one! You have earned your MFT masters. "With your hard work, perseverance, and kind [heart]."

Sambora replied in the comment section, "I love you till the moon." "My mommy!!! "Thank you!"

Ava wrote about her graduation in her own Facebook page. She shared her official photos and said she was "beyond thankful for the last two years and the wonderful people I have met." She exclaimed "Cheers to class of 2023!"

Heather's recent graduation and her parents' support for their daughter were congratulated by fans in the comments section of Heather's Facebook post.

Locklear announced in an Instagram video that she received an invite to Ava’s graduation ceremony. The letter was addressed "Mommy" and "Bonus Dad", referring to Heather Heisser's boyfriend Chris Heisser.

Ava was born in 1997 and is the only child to Locklear and Sambora who were married between 1994 and 2007.
