Holly Madison is opening up about Hugh Hefner 's alleged control tactics he used against women in the Playboy Mansion.

In a recent podcast appearance, Coco Mocoe , the 43-year old former reality star, claimed that Hefner "hates" it when Playmates wear red lipstick and explained the reason why the Playboy creator disliked this specific color.

Madison responded to Coco Mocoe's question about Hefner's dislike for red lipstick, saying that she thought it was "a control tactic." She also said, "I believe it was a tactic of control, but I think when I was new, I wore it out a few times and he never said anything because you were treated well when you were a new girl."

Madison, who moved to the Playboy Mansion in 2001 at the age 21 continued: "Someone said, like, higher you go in a cult, the worse you get treated, because they want new people to feel in and bond with it."

She continued, "I would wear red lip gloss when I first started." It wasn't a huge deal. It wasn't big until six months later, when I lived in his room and was the primary girlfriend. Then he felt he could yell at my over it.
