"Mama Jun" Shannon attends the graduation of her daughter Alana Thompson, aka "Honey Boo Boo". Also present are Alana's sister, Lauryn Efird (legal guardian), and other family and friends as the former "Toddlers & Tiaras "star steps into her next chapter.

Alana "Honey Boo Boo", Thompson, has come a very long way since she was a little girl who got pumped up by "Toddlers & Tiaras", and then shared her family's entire life on reality TV for years.

She's experienced many ups and downsides during her short life. Her sister Lauryn Efird became her legal guardian when her mother "Mama June Shannon" lost control over her life due to her addiction.

The family reunited now to celebrate Alana's success in achieving one of the first major milestones in life, her high school graduation.

Lauryn posted a video and pictures of Alana's big day on her Instagram page. She captioned her video, "To say that I am proud would be an underestimate."

The caption continued, "To be there and witness this next Chapter I am amazed." "Amazed by how much you have grown, your beautiful soul, and how far you have come against all odds."

Lauryn ended her message with "I can't wait to see the next chapter of your life." Please know that i am your biggest fan and will always and forever be shouting the loudest for YOU. I love you lana "

"Mama June", also posted the video on Instagram, showing the family hollering and hooting for Alana when she crossed the stage in order to receive her diploma. "I am so proud of her, she is our 2023 graduating class and yes, we were hollering throughout the entire time," wrote the proud mom.

June posted another post later that evening. It included additional pictures of Alana, her family and a message to her daughter.

She expressed her love for her daughter and her pride in her accomplishment.

InTouch Weekly reports that the proud mother shared an image from Alana’s high school, which featured a “Senior Spotlight” Q&A session. The post revealed what Alana hopes to achieve in her next chapter.

Alana replied, "I'm excited to continue my studies after graduation at GMC." "But I'm going to Regis University in August to major in neonatal nurse."

She spoke of her approach to life and how she took on a lot at a young, young age. Alana's response to being asked what advice she would give her younger self was "Don't waste time and get down to business." There are too many people depending on you, and there is too much money that needs to be made.

Alana, who shared a slideshow with senior pictures on her Instagram page in an April 29 post, admitted that she was proud of herself and her achievements. She wrote: "I'm so proud of me and how far [I have] come. There were times when I didn’t think I'd make it to this point, but I did." "
