In an interview with people the 77-year old pop icon, who has been dating 37-year old music producer Edwards for almost a year, opened up about their romance and shared her views on the public reaction to their relationship.

"Alexander has diamond teeth, tattoos and white hair. He's also younger." Cher admitted that she "was not surprised" at the attention their romance received. Cher said, "I also think it's funny to be interested in someone else's romance!"

The music legend revealed that she and AE had met during Paris Fashion Week in 2013. She told People that they had a "quick 15-minute meeting" and a friend of theirs gave Edwards Edwards' number. This was "really surprising."
