Christopher Walken is one the most well-known actors of his generation. His voice is easily identifiable by most people. He is an Academy Award-winning actor who has excelled in almost every genre of film, making him one of the greatest actors.

Georgianne, his wife of more than 50 years, is less well-known. We have everything we know about Georgianne Walker's life, career, and family.

Who is Georgianne Walkeren?

Georgianne Leigh Corzen was born in Chicago on February 8, 1944. To match the maternal aunt Irene Thon who raised her, her surname was changed from Leigh to Thon at age eight. Sheila Jaffe, her casting partner, founded the casting company Walken/Jaffe.

IMDb reports that Georgianne worked as a casting director for over 90 TV and film productions. Her most prominent credits include Entourage, The Sopranos.

She's been nominated 8 times for her casting work. The award was given to her for her work in The Sopranos in 1999.

Although her casting expertise is obvious, she has some acting credits. She was Wendy Abramson's character in the 1983 movie Brainstorm. In a 2006 episode, she played a small part in The Sopranos.

The Walkens met during a 1963 tour of 'West Side Story'

According to The Guardian Georgianne and Christopher met during a 1963 touring production West Side Story. The play cast them as boyfriend and girlfriend.

Per Christopher Walken: A to Z: The Man and the Movies, Legend. It was love at first glance. Georgianne Walken described Georgianne as a fox. She is a fox. They loved one another right away.

Georgianne said that the feelings were mutual. She said, "When you met him you knew he had the future." "He was great and would be even better... I have never seen anyone like him in my entire life."

Georgianne believed so strongly in Christopher that she supported them both in their early years. To make ends meet, she sold cosmetics and gave up her acting dreams to support Christopher's stardom.

Georgianne, who was the pioneer of her successful casting agency, seems to have continued this trend. This gave them both the financial stability that they needed.

Walken once said, "My wife takes care for everything for me." She takes care of the bills and the money. It's all my responsibility. Everyone has to do something. She takes care of me, and I make movies."

They were married in January 1969

Christopher and Georgianne were married five years after they met. They are still together today. They live together in rural Connecticut and have no children. Christopher insists that he has no regrets about that decision.

"I like to work as much and as often as possible because I don’t have any children. I also don’t have hobbies. I don’t do any other activities. And I'm happy that I don’t have children. Christopher admitted that he has two brothers who have many children.

The Guardian once heard Christopher say that he and Georgianne lead a "conservative" lifestyle. "I have been married for nearly 50 years. I don't have hobbies nor children. I don't care much about traveling. I have never lived a full social life. He explained that I mainly stay at home except for when I have to go to work. He said, "So in that sense I suppose I'm a normal guy."

Christopher seems to be the true chef at home, despite his claims that he doesn't have hobbies. The Observer once heard him say that his wife does not cook. However, he enjoys learning and cooking.

Christopher and Georgianne are both huge cat lovers. Christopher spoke out about his cat Bowtie, which he shared with Georgianne in an interview with the Talks. Flapjack, a second cat that they had, also died.

Their Marriage Survived the Controversy Around Natalie Wood's Death

The 1981 death of Natalie Wood, a Hollywood legend, is one of Christopher Walken's most significant marks. Many Hollywood historians have been fascinated by Wood's mysterious drowning. Many conspiracy theories have been put forth about Wood's boat trip to Catalina Island.

Christopher, who starred alongside Wood in Brainstorm shortly before her death, will always be associated with that mystery. Wood mysteriously drowned, and he was among the three aboard the boat. Many people have wondered why Georgianne wasn’t on the boat with Christopher when it happened. This suggests that Christopher was being unfaithful.

There has been no evidence that Christopher and Wood committed a crime or had anything to do with each other. Wood never learned to swim and it is understood that she was thrown overboard in what must be a tragic accident.

Christopher kept his mouth shut about the incident, insisting that he does not know what happened. "She fell into the water after she slipped. I was lying in bed at the time. It was terrible," he said to People 1986.

Despite all the media attention, Christopher and Georgianne were committed to one another. They have shared more than 50 years of blissful marriage and plan to continue enjoying many more.
