Since New Year's Day, she's been missing.

A husband has been arrested for the murder of his wife, a mother-of-three from Cohasset in Massachusetts. He was missing since January 1.

Michael W. Morrissey, Norfolk District Attorney, announced Tuesday that police had obtained an arrest warrant for Brian Walshe in connection to the murder of Ana. This was before his arraignment. Brian was previously charged with "misleading the police" during the investigation into Ana's disappearance. He pleaded guilty to these charges.

"The police have been conducting a thorough investigation and obtained an arrest warrant for Brian Walshe in relation to the murder of his wife." Morrissey stated in a video that Mr. Walshe would be taken to Quincy District Court to face the murder charge. "While additional details regarding the investigation and evidence supporting those charges will likely be presented at arraignment, they will not be revealed at this time," Morrissey stated in a video statement.

Ana Walshe (39), of Cohasset MA, was last seen by a relative at home on New Year's Day between 4-5 AM. She was supposed take a rideshare to Logan Airport in Boston on New Year's Day for a flight from Washington, DC. But she never got on a plane.

Both her husband and her employer reported her missing on January 4. Police logs confirmed that her employer was the one who first contacted authorities. Since January 1, her phone has been off and her credit cards have not been used since.

Lynn M. Beland, Norfolk First Assistant District Attorney, claimed that Brian purchased $450 worth of cleaning supplies from Home Depot on January 2, after Ana was last seen and before she was reported missing. Fox25 reports that a prosecutor said that he also bought a tarp and mops from the store's surveillance camera. Brian had previously stated to police that he only left his home on the day of the incident to go get ice cream with his son.

Beland stated that blood and a "damaged blade" with blood on it was found in the basement while Beland executed a search warrant at Beland's home.

CNN reported that investigators discovered searches on Brian’s internet records to "how to dispose off a 115-pound female body" and dismemberment. NBC Boston reported a similar story, saying that a source close the investigation claimed that Walshe had a troubling internet history regarding murder. FYI: Ana is described as 5'2" tall and 115 pounds.

CNN Boston and CBS Boston reported that investigators found trash bags with blood, a hatchet and a hacksaw at a Peabody transfer station. CBS reported that Brian Walshe's vehicle had "evidence" it was clean.

Brian Walshe still awaits sentencing in federal case.

He pleaded guilty in 2021 to wire fraud, interstate transport for a scheme of defrauding, possession of converted good and unlawful monetary transactions. After listing two Andy Warhol paintings on eBay, he then allegedly delivered fakes to the buyer.
