After suffering a brain trauma that led to five brain surgeries, Jackie Miller James, a social media influencer, was placed into a medically induced coma.

Jackie Miller James has gotten her life back in order after a traumatic brain injury that left her in an induced coma. Her baby was delivered by emergency c section.

In an Instagram post, the family of the social media influencer aged 35 shared the good news with her fans on July 2. They informed them that she had woken up from the coma. She is now at a rehabilitation center for neurological disorders. Austin and she had chronicled her pregnancy.

According to People, James collapsed at 39 weeks of pregnancy after a ruptured brain aneurysm. Her husband found her unconscious. The severe bleeding led to the emergency c section.

James was able to take her daughter home after she was put in a coma. She spent the next 12 nights in the NICU. Knoxly Rose was allowed to return home while James remained in the hospital.

James performed five brain surgeries while she was in a coma. He also had c-section. According to the post of the family, "doctors were pleased with her latest tests and evaluations. They noted that Jackie was performing above expectations and is improving more and more each day."

The message went on to say that "while Jackie is making great strides, her road to recovery will be incredibly long." The family set up a GoFundMe in order to cover James' medical costs. The family raised $330,000 on Monday towards their $450,000 target.

The family update stated that "Jackie and Austin's little girl is a constant light to the entire family, and continues growing into a healthy, happy and animated little Angel." They also noted that James and his daughter were reunited, and that the new mother "spends much of her day in the hospital with her family."
