Janelle says, "It feels as though Kody and me are no longer going to be a couple," after she and polygamist husband have a fight over their children and "gaslighting".

After a heated discussion about the holidays, the relationship between Kody star of Sister Wives and Janelle brown may have been irreparable.

Kody's Covid restrictions on the family during lockdown had already strained relations. He believed that some of his children, particularly his sons and Janelle, were not following his orders, prioritizing safety over their social life. They, on the other hand, thought he put Robyn's family ahead of everyone else.

All of this led to a huge rift in the family, and between Kody's children. He demanded that the boys apologize before he changed his tune and said he wanted to talk to them about what happened. This never happened, and tensions got worse.

Janelle had planned to spend Christmas alone with her children, after having done the same thing for Thanksgiving. She planned to split the cost of renting an Airbnb with Christine, her ex-wife, and then have Christine take over after Christmas with their kids.

Kody described her plan in Sunday's episode of TLC as "like a knife through my heart." She added that her decision had been "absolutely heartbreaking" to her.

He said he would not be coming to her apartment, but that he has his own home where he will celebrate Christmas with all of the other people in her family, or at least Robyn, Meri, and their children.

Janelle told him that he should call the boys to clarify the situation. She told him, "You always blame me." She added in a confessional: "It's still surprising to me that Kody feels it is my responsibility for him and his children." He's as much a parent as I am."

Kody said that "the phone works both ways" and that he has "been available to speak to them," but did not say whether he was proactive in reaching out. Janelle said that she didn't wish to be a middleman any longer, as she felt she had to choose between her husband or her children.

Kody felt "gaslighted" by his wife as they continued their fight over the rules that he had imposed on his family during Covid, and his apparent lack clarity. She also felt this way. She said he gaslighted her, and accused him of making her look bad.

He said, "You need stop putting me under the bus", as she pushed him back. She argued that he acted like the family drama is all her fault. She fought him again when he said that she was not taking responsibility for her actions. She claimed she had done nothing wrong, but felt as though nothing she did was "ever enough" for Kody. He asked her if she wanted "this relationship between us to work", a question that she answered back. The two were at a deadlock.

"I accepted the CDC rules." Janelle said, "You had more but it was never enough Kody." I wasn't going turn my boys away in the middle a pandemic.

Janelle, as they continued their argument about whether Kody had demanded an explanation from the boys, said that it was something "he yelled" to her "many times." He admitted that he was "angry." He added, "the lack of loyalty and trust, the lies and the gaslighting." I'm trying make you responsible in a romantic relationship."

Janelle said that Kody's issues with his children go "way deeper" then disagreements about Covid. She said that the kids were frustrated for many reasons, and added, "You act like they just disrespected you because of Covid." He accused them of "lying," and blamed Robyn for their drama. Then he said he had tried to bring the family together and that he felt like Atlas carrying the family on his shoulders.

Janelle said, shockingly: "I think that you decided to stop being a plural spouse anymore." She thought his behavior was intended to push her away, and added that he no longer visits her.

You undermined my basic rules. "You made fun of my to the boys," said he. Have you ever worked with me if you had my back? Were we ever coparents? Why do you coparent with Christine?

He continued, "There is a family problem, one that needs to get solved. Everything's too hot right now, and everyone thinks I am the bad guy." "I'm not expecting to see anyone for Christmas. You have denied me contact with my family.

After a long fight in which they were constantly talking over each other, Janelle, who was fed up, finally said, "Shut the f---ingmouth and let me speak to you for a moment." You keep cutting off!"

Kody was furious, getting up off the couch to say he didn't expect her to "back him up" in future.

I don't think you should try to coparent with us. It's too late. We're not going to do it," he shouted. What kind of partnership do we have?" All these years I have been here, day and night, with or without your support, while you decided what to do without consulting me. "I'm done listening."

He then walked towards the door while she begged him to stay. He said "I'm going to stay because you aren't listening," and shut the door behind himself. Janelle shouted, "F--- You!" Kody left the set and Janelle yelled "F--- you!"

In a confessional, Janelle described the outburst as "shocking".

She said, "I was very upset when he went because I felt like it was a finality and now I am worried about what will happen to me." "Moving forward, do I live here, do I build? This was so dramatic, I felt like Kody and me were no longer going to be together. It was a lot of build-up, and it wasn't just the harsh words that were said. The feeling was "We're finished."

She also said that she had called him and asked him to collect his belongings from her house after he had left. Janelle said, "In my head, he's gone." She went on to say that Kody would shut out women he has problems with and wanted them to walk away to make him look good. It feels like Kody wants you to tell him that it's done because he does not want to be the husband to say, "I don't wish to be married to you anymore," she said.

Kody's wife Meri and Robyn were shown later in the episode explaining his "big blow-up" with Janelle.

He said, "I think they are trying to shut me down because they are mad at me." "We didn't speak, we yelled each other." We threw stones at the glass houses. "I don't know what I was saying."

He then claimed that he "reached out" to "basically everybody," referring his sons, and shared his belief that his family "sort of makes up a story" about him. Janelle was "colluding with the boys" to make him look worse.

They then decided to discuss what they would do over the holidays. Robyn was going to host people on Christmas Day, and Meri would be hosting the family Christmas Eve. Meri was not sure if she should invite her family because she felt "awkward".

"I don't say this to be a jerk... You've got Christine, who left, Janelle, with whom you are at odds, and I'm the third wheel, because I'm only here. She told Kody, "I don't even know what to say." Do I call them to come over, when you're all fighting? "I don't know what I should do."

Robyn wanted to get together with her family for the holidays but knew that there would be some tension if she did. Kody said that he'd rather be with people who are interested in being around him, and that he was not in a position to talk to Janelle because they had "crossed the line" during their argument. He said he was in need of some time and hoped they could talk again about "what we want in our life, because I don't think she wants me to be in hers."

Meri made the decision that she would not invite Christine, Janelle, or their children over to her house for Christmas Eve.
