Fans believe that Depp, 60, will be joining Tim Burton's film. The actress of the new Beetlejuice took to Instagram to denounce the "ridiculous rumor" she is dating him.

Jenna Ortega reportedly denies Johnny Depp romantic rumors.

Rumors began after Deuxmoi, an online celebrity gossip account, reported that Ortega and Depp were seen working together on the upcoming Beetlejuice follow-up.

Depp's involvement in the film is not confirmed. However, after seeing his name in a Google search of the cast for the sequel, Daily Mail , fans speculated about it.

The Thursday actress took to Instagram Stories at the weekend. She also told the Daily Mail that she was denying any rumors of a romance between her and the Pirates of the Caribbean actor.

She is reported to have responded to the report by writing "This is ridiculous, I can't laugh." I have never worked or met Johnny Depp. "Please stop spreading lies about us and leave us alone."

According to a source close Depp, TooFab reported that "Depp does not date Ortega."

Ortega will play the daughter Winona's sullen goth teen Lydia in the original film. Michael Keaton will reprise his role of Beetlejuice in the sequel that began filming this year.

Catherine O'Hara, Justin Theroux and Filipe Cates are also expected to return for the highly-anticipated sequel due September 6, 2024.
