Aniston replied, "I'm sure I just got fired by saying that." "I don't know what it means."
Jennifer Aniston recently gave her opinion on the cancel culture.
The actress told Wall Street Journal Magazine that she was "so tired of the cancel culture" where people are willing to dismiss someone forever.
Aniston replied, "I'm pretty sure I got my application canceled just by saying that." "I don't know what .... means. Is there redemption?"
She continued, "I don't think so." "I don't think everyone is Harvey Weinstein."
The "Friends'" actress said that, while she herself was not a victim of sexual harassment by Weinstein, the experiences she had with the disgraced director were to say the least unpleasant.
"He's a girl, but you can't wait for Harvey to come over. Never. You were like, "Oh, God, okay, suck up." He came to see me to pitch a film. I remember having someone stay in my trailer," Aniston recalled of the former Hollywood mogul, who is currently serving four decades in prison for sexual assault and rape cases.
Weinstein was contacted by WSJ Magazine about Aniston’s remarks. He insisted that she had "never experienced any uncomfortable moments with me."
The magazine interview came at a time when Aniston was preparing to appear in Season 3 The Morning Show, which explores different viewpoints on the #MeToo campaign as a morning show is shaken by a scandal involving a male news anchor.
Aniston, incidentally, was accused recently of liking a controversial Facebook post by Jamie Foxx. Amid the growing backlash, she quickly distanced herself from Jamie Foxx's post and insisted she had never liked it.
