The actress said that she would have had to grow up if she had children. She was interviewed by British GQ's latest cover story.

Jennifer Coolidge’s character from “American Pie” -- also known as Stifler’s mother -- was famously smitten with Finch (Eddie Kaye Thomas). But she has now revealed they had a strange friendship off-camera.

In an extensive interview with British GQfor the GQ Heroes Summer Issue, the 61 year-old actress revealed that she and Thomas, 42 years-old, lived together in Los Angeles in the early 2000s, but only as friends.

Coolidge, laughing, told British GQ: "I was not the love of his Life." He had girlfriends. "My bedroom was just across the hall from his."

The "The White Lotus'" star confirmed that she is "single", adding that she looks to meet new people once she joins new projects.

She said, "I'm not married." "I could talk myself into a new job by bringing up romance or bringing up a completely different group of people. It could lead to some cool things."

Coolidge also revealed in another interview why she has never had children.

She told British GQ: "I am very, very immature. I think this has prevented me from having kids because I am sort of a kid." "Maybe I would have had to grow up if I'd had children."

Before reflecting on past relationships, the "Legally Blonde' actress shared that her friends had encouraged her to adopt. However, she felt she would be more suited to being a stepmom.

"I have never, ever, had a boyfriend who was so laid-back and full of joy. You know? She said. She said: "Like someone who laughs off all your flaws." "I would never choose someone like that for myself."

Coolidge is scheduled to speak at the GQ Heroes Conference in association with BMW. The event will take place from July 19-21 at Soho Farmhouse in Oxfordshire.
