The singer lavished praise and love on her daughter Maxwell, aged 11, calling her "passionate" and "generous, loving, dedicated, inspiring, enticing", confident, empathetic [and] powerful.

Jessica Simpson opens up about the heartfelt birthday wishes of her oldest child.

The singer shared a sweet tribute on Instagram to her 11-year old daughter Maxwell Johnson, in which she revealed that Maxwell's birthday wish for her grandfather Joe Simpson was to have his bone cancer treatment be successful.

Maxwell Drew Johnson, my firstborn, arrived in this world on May 1, 2012. He was a sentient, intelligent being that seemed to be from another planet. Jessica, 42 wrote: "In the purest form, her heart, mind, and soul rose from the graces of heaven in profound ways." She posted a photo of her daughter with a mother. "I felt her presence in my life as a child and I prayed for my future daughter day and night."

She continued, "I know most moms would ask to slow down the time when their child turns 11, but I've known her for my entire life." It is clear that Maxwell had already been living in my heart for 30 years.

The fashion designer, who shares Maxwell with her husband Eric Johnson, Ace, 9, Birdie 4, added that Maxwell’s birthday party theme was “FRANKLIN FARMLIFE HAPPY,” before recalling the birthday wish of her daughter.

Jessica wrote: "She said to me, after she blew out her 11 candles ...'I had made a wish for you and me and the entire family'." "I told Maxi that it was your wish, and she replied 'we both have the same wishes mom'."

She continued: "3 days later, on our way back from Cali, she overheard my reading a message from my Dad. She asked my mother sitting next to her whether I could say out loud if my wish had already come true or if I should keep it to myself. My mom told her that she could share it with anyone if she wanted, but especially if the wish had already been granted ..."

Maxwell's birthday wishes was that Papa Joe's treatment for bone cancer would work. "It did," added the reality star. Maxi Drew, thank you for wishing our family well and especially my father.

Jessica concluded her post by praising Jessica's daughter.

She said: "You are mesmerizing. You are steadfast. You're intelligent. "The faith that a child has is what keeps us all ALIVE."

Maxwell's birthday wishes were applauded by Jessica's followers in the comments section of her Facebook post.

"Maxwell's love-filled soul radiates out of her!" A fan wrote. "Thanks for sharing her spirit over the years through your stories and posts. I'm so glad to know about Joe!" Maxwell, Happy Bday! ."

One person said "She has a gold heart", while another commented "This is so sweet!" It shows what a great mother you are. @jessicasimpson."

In 2016, Joe, Jessica's 65-year-old father, was diagnosed as having prostate cancer. His rep told People in May 2017 that he had been cured.

Jessica's Saturday post appears to be her first mention of her father's diagnosis with bone cancer.
