Some Los Angeles residents noticed skywriting in June 2021 as part of a proposal for marriage. This skywriting clearly stated that Joe Rogan was literally 5' 3".

It is certainly unusual to include this in a proposal. It's also an odd thing to lie about, which may explain why the rumor grew out of control.

Reddit posted photos of Rogan's skywriting, and gossip about Rogan’s height spread like wildfire across the internet. Reddit users and Twitter users alike wanted to know if this skywriting was bringing something important to the attention of the public.

Joe Rogan's Real Height

Many investigations were launched to investigate the growing interest in Rogan’s height. Snopes also weighed in to prove that the skywriting proclamation is a fabrication. After comparing Rogan's height to that of other celebrities in photos, the proof was in there. The photographic evidence matches the Rogan's IMDb page at 5 feet 7 and one-half inches.

Rogan's Wikipedia page now lists him at 5' 8", which is Rogan's most common height. Although 5-foot-8 might seem a bit short for some, it is actually quite average. Rogan is right in the middle of the vast majority of American men at 5-foot-9.

It turned out that Rogan actually tweeted his true height in 2015! He didn't know his height would be so controversial.

Joe Rogan may be tall, but the amount of attention he has received is extraordinary. Now we know that a skywriter is the best way to spread serious rumors.
