Joshua Jackson Details How Viral Dawson's Creek Basketball Scene Was Shot

After learning that he was trending, the actor stated: "I felt like I had done something horrible." "I instantly reverted back to a 5-year-old and asked, "What did I do?"

Joshua Jackson shares his thoughts on a recent viral video of him in "Dawson's Creek".

A Twitter user shared last month a clip of the teen drama in which Jackson's character Pacey Witter was hit with a ball by an angry Dawson Leery, played by James Van Der Beek.

Jackson analyzed the scene on Tuesday's "The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon" and responded to the viral moment that went viral on Twitter.

When it happened to be me, I thought I had done something horrible. "What did I do?" I asked myself as if I was five years old. Fallon told the actor.

Jackson, 44 said he "put on a cool face" as soon as he realised the clip had become popular. He also revealed that an assistant on set told him first about the video.

He said that Fallon showed the audience the video clip after saying, "Hey man, your trending on Twitter."

Jackson remembered that the ball had hit his face after it struck the camera. I remember that the audience loved it so much, they thought we had done two or three additional takes. Someone had some issues that they were trying work out."

The "Fringe'" star claimed that the ball "was never supposed to do this."

Jackson added, "Twitter is a mixed bag. But one thing I love about it is how people are so into it." When I got back to the trailer, I realized that I had not screwed anything up and that I was still alive. My career was not over. "All good things"

He added that there was a "forensic analysis" of this 25-year old TV show, recalling the reactions he had seen, such as someone who thought the scene was edited using CGI.

The actor of "The Affair", however, set the record straight by revealing that they did not even use a basketball.

Jackson explained, "This was a beachball painted to look similar to a basketball which bounced off of my face." "It didn't feel good."

Jackson also shared during the interview his reaction to a second viral moment. In October, Jackson made headlines when he dressed up as Charlie Conway, his character in the "Mighty Ducks' films.

Jackson was seen wearing the jersey of his character at a Halloween event. Jackson said that it belonged to his wife Jodie Turner Smith, who "keeps (it) in her closet for special occasions like this."

He revealed that the party was a Halloween celebration and his costume wasn't unnoticed.

"This is a lot of name-dropping but I learned something important." Jackson shared. Jackson revealed that Margot Robbie is a big "Mighty Ducks" fan. She was at the party and turned around and saw the jersey. She was saying, "Oh my god, I love that film," and then looked up, and said, "Oh, I get it."
